5.00Our family had the absolute pleasure of having Rich as our tour guide for the Road to Hana, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! From the moment he greeted us, it was clear that he genuinely enjoys what he does. Rich navigated the winding roads of Hana like a seasoned pro, ensuring we felt safe and relaxed throughout the journey. Even when we were running about 40 minutes late (getting two kids under 10 ready and fed for a big day is no small feat!), Rich was incredibly understanding and patient. He met us with a smile, and his luxury SUV was spotless, comfortable, and perfect for the adventure ahead. Not only was Rich an excellent driver, but he was also an outstanding storyteller. He shared fascinating insights about Hawaiian culture, history, and the unique spots we visited. He balanced taking us to mustsee tourist attractions and hidden local gems only someone with his knowledge could share. Knowing we are vegetarians, Rich went out of his way to take us to an amazing pizza spot that catered perfectly to our needs, it was one of the best meals we had in Hawai‘i! To top it all off, spending Christmas with Rich made the experience even more memorable. His warm personality and genuine enthusiasm for sharing Hawai‘i’s beauty made the day feel extra special. We sincerely recommend this tour and, most importantly, Rich as your guide. He’s not just a tour guide, he’s the kind of person who makes you feel like you’re exploring Hawai‘i with a friend. 5.00Awesome trip! Mark, our tour guide, was great. Very knowledgeable, easygoing, flexible, stopped in all the right places to see the beautiful scenery and try great local snacks! Road to Hana is unique with beautiful scenery around every corner and there are lots of corners. Beautiful waterfalls and I especially like the Rainbow Eucalyptus trees!! Thanks Mark!!!!

5.00We had an amazing day with Kimo (Jimmy) as our guide. We did so many amazing things during the tour. I’ll try to remember them all! At the onset we paused in Paia to pick up lunch and were introduced to a ginger shot for energy and to avoid car sickness. Totally did the trick! We stopped for wonderful hot from the oven banana bread. We saw waterfalls and paused for an exhilarating “swim”! Kimo knew all of the locals and got us premium service at each stop. He gave us a guitar serenade for our anniversary! We ate lunch in Hāna at the black sand beach. And on our return trip we stopped for ice cream (delicious) and made a stop to see a large group of turtles sunning themselves on a beach! It was a wonderful day! 5.00Marc was our botanist guide and he made our trip to Hana a most amazing experience. Three of the four of us had been to Hana before yet today we experienced the area to the fullest thanks to Marc. He was a wealth of information about the history, plant and animal life of Hawaii. Our lively conversations in the car as Marc expertly drove us through the windy, narrow road were educational and interesting. The small, quaint roadside stops made the trip tropically authentic. We loved all the waterfalls, beaches, blow holes, lava tube, hikes and turtles. It was an incredible day! Marc even stopped at a grocery store at the end of the day for us to pick up some items we needed. Thanks, Marc! If you are looking for the best, book Paramount Tours and request Marc.

5.00My husband & I took the private Road to Hana tour with Marc from Paramount. We clicked with him from the start. He was an exceptional tour guide. I appreciated that he knew so much history of the area, the vegetation that grew there and the particulars of the different ecosystems that we went through. We stayed within the alloted time and I never felt rushed at all. Maui is beautiful and it helps to know a little about what I'm looking at. Thank you Marc!

1.00Booking with this operator is a gamble. Our trip was cancelled at 12:45am via text when we were supposed to be picked up at 6:45am that morning. Text cited “vehicle emergency”. Operator offered the following day as an option but we are unable to rearrange our schedule to take that tour. If you look at previous reviews, the operator overbooks and then cancels- bad business! Stay away from them!

5.00Mark was a great tour guide! Laid back, fun & very informative … My kids are 26, 24 & 22. My husband has some mobility challenges as an amputee & my oldest has an intellectual disability, Mark catered to everyone’s needs, answered lots of questions, as well as provided awesome tips & insights for all over Maui, not just Hana. He even recommended the Hana Tonic for my daughter’s motion sickness & it worked so well we got more to take home! Highly recommended, definitely worth the money for a personal guided tour for us and very nice family experience!

1.00they canceled on us 1 hour before the tour. we were only in port one day so we missed seeing the road to Hana because it was to late to book with another company. i reached out to confirm a pick up time twice the day before and no one responded. i am still awaiting f a credit on my charge.

1.00Paramount tours cancelled our trip the day before claiming due to random safety checks. The company informed me Iwould receive a confirmation email and refund. Neither happened. Contacted Viator and they could not reach the company.
