The Exit Glacier Nature Hike is a moderate hike over a undeveloped hiking trail that walks along the outflow plain and follows the trail up to a elevated point that overlooks the outflow plain and the toe of the glacier as well as the face of the glacier. This hike does not travel on ice! This is not a ice hike. As we get to the visitor area we spend a few minutes with your guide that will explain and provide an interesting insight to the geology, flora and fauna of the area. We often see moose, mountain goats, and other small animals including at times black bears.

Carla and her adorable toddler were great guides for the Exit Glacier hike. A lot of fun to be with and gave us just the right amount of glacier education. We even stopped for two pictures as we drove in and out of the visitors center - one for a great shot with Exit Glacier behind us and one at the national park sign. It's a lovely hike and affords good views of the glacier. If you have transportation to the trail head, this hike is easy to do on your own, but we learned things from Carla that enriched our time by providing a better understanding of what we were seeing and where we were. FYI you will not be hiking on the glacier! That is another activity altogether.

I hiked through exit glacier. It is a well kept area where you can get close to the glacier. Many species of birds out. Was rainy so not much wild life was out at the time but a nice hike. I also panned for gold. My tour guide taught me how to pan and stored my gold and taught me about each rock and how it was formed and gave me an informative lesson on the history of the area. They also offer kayaking tours. The guide is very professional and friendly. Come to Seward and enjoy nature close up.

I had the opportunity to take a hike up to the Harding Ice Field with Adventure60 North last Sept, and it was fabulous. I felt very well-taken care of- they provided the gear and the (minimal) training, or guidance, that we needed to feel comfortable on the ice. Everyone in the group I was assigned to go with had a great time. And the views were spectacular! Thank you so much! I have great photos and memories of this.

My wife and I embarked on the kayaking trip from Seward to see the Aialik glacier before hiking up and standing on the Exit glacier the day after. The kayaking trip was seriously cool, we had awesome weather with blue skies and calm winds, the water taxi from Seward was top notch with coffee, other drinks and snacks. On the way there we didn't see anything much but got up close to some awesome landscapes. We picked up the kayaks and after a real good briefing from our guide Nick, we went out for a paddle toward the glacier. Nick was very knowledgeable about the glacier and as we got closer to Aialik we started seeing the carvings fall which was an awesome sight in itself. On the way back via some secret gems we had food on the beach while we waited for the boat. On our way back to Seward, Nick comes into the cabin and says "we got orcas" and he was not lying, there was a massive pod that had appeared right next to our boat, the skipper stopped the engines and got out a hydrophone we could use to hear the orcas talk to each other which was an awesome experience in and of itself, and which I will use to sign off this part of the review. Part 2 is the Exit glacier hike, since completing the hike I've spoke to some people about it, they always assume we hiked the trail that runs parallel to the glacier for a good view, it's only when I reiterate the fact we actually walked (with crampons) on an actual glacier that they're eyes light up! And rightfully so, the glacier was so cool...and windy! Expertly led by Nick once more, we were taken to some really great places on the ice, including waterfalls and crevacces. Lunch and snacks were provided also. Thank you very much guys for an amazing adventure.

Our guide, Nick, took my wife and I on an amazing hike to and on Exit Glacier. He was super helpful, knowledgable, and fun! We had great weather and were the only three people on the glacier for almost 2 hours! Would definitely do another trip with Adventure Sixty North again!

Had a great trip on the glacier. Our group was small which was great. Our guide Nick was very professional and very knowledgeable. He was very patient and I thought he did a great job guiding us through our hike. The glacier was beautiful and Nick gave us plenty of time to explore the area. I would recommend this tour company to anyone who visits the area. As a local here I can say it is worth the money and try to book with Nick. Remember make sure you are in fit condition to hike. :)

I reserved a spot to do Exit Glacier Ice Hike on 6/22/2018 and requested to be pick-up from my hotel Harbor 360. Bre at the office was very helpful to answer every of my questions regarding my reservation. On 6/22/18 at 9 AM, I stepped out the hotel when I saw the Adventure 60 North car stropped in front of the hotel entrance. To my surprise, the driver was Rick, the owner. I recognized him from the video in adveture60.com. Rick was very friendly and we chatted like we are long time friends. When I got to Adventure 60 North office, it turned out I was the only one in the hiking group. My glacier hiking guide that day was Alex. He was very knowledgeable, patient, and friendly. Alex first showed me how to use and wear the gears we needed to have on the hike, before we hit the road to trailhead. Throughout our hike, Alex fed me information on wide plants and flowers, geology formation in the area, history of Harding Ice Field and Exit Glacier, etc. SinceI am physically fit for hiking and doing solo with Alex, we have less waiting and transition time. We were ahead of time schedule. When we were on glacier/ice, Alex showed me the proper ways to hike on glacier. As I followed Alex from behind, he constantly turned around to check to make sure I was safe and fine. We hiked and covered many areas on Exit Glacier. Alex picked a good spot to sit down for our lunch. We were sitting by a stream flowing down from the top ice filed. Amazing. A vast breathtaking scenery surrounded us to enjoy while eating lunch. Since I had such a positive and fun experience, I told Alex I would bring my young daughter or my friends to do this glacier hike again next year. I would even try kayaking in Resurrection Bay! Thank you to Rick, Alex, and Bre!

This guided hike with Alex was a great experience and the guide was truly worth it for help with the equipment and the experience walking the ice itself. The hike through the woods up to the glacier was very enjoyable except for the biting black flies. Wear long sleeves if you take this hike or get eaten alive.

We visited the Kenai peninsula for our 25th anniversary and took several trips while we were out there. This was one of the best trips we took - it was definitely physically challenging, but it was a ton of fun! We saw some amazing formations on the glacier and took many wonderful pictures. Alex was a fantastic guide - he was very knowledgeable about the geologic formations and very personable. Everything about this trip was wonderful!
