We will pick people up an hour before from 7:00 am and we will make a trip of approximately one hour from the city of Cartagena to our first free town in Latin America called Palenque and we will begin our great adventure.

A must-see cultural trip in Palenque de San Basilio! Visiting Palenque de San Basilio was an incredibly enriching experience. Learning about the history and traditions of the Palenquero people, the first free people in America, left me with deep admiration for their struggle and resistance. Our Local Guide was fantastic, sharing stories and details about your community that are not found in the books. An essential destination if you are looking to learn about the true essence of Afro-Colombian culture!

! I loved the visit to Palenque de San Basilio. The music, dances, and stories we heard transported us back to a time when the struggle for freedom was constant. Our Guide was amazing, taught us Palenque words, and we learned a lot about the African roots of this community. I recommend this tour to anyone interested in Afro-Colombian culture and the history of freedom in America.

An authentic and meaningful experience! The visit to Palenque was much more than an excursion, it was a lesson in history, resistance and cultural pride. Our Guide was excellent, explaining the importance of the place and how its inhabitants have preserved their heritage over the centuries. We also had the opportunity to enjoy traditional music and local cuisine. It was an unforgettable and enriching experience. Highly recommended!
