Eben pick us from hotel and start telling the history of Accra and we visited Freedom Square, Masoulem, Du Boir museum and Makola market. The experience was very interesting and eye opener learning about the past history. Walking at Makola market was a sensory overload and so vibrant and colorful. We ended with a nice lunch at a restaurant. Eben is knowledge, friendly and made sure we are well taken care of. Thank you BigBen Tours for the nice and interesting day tour!

I asked to go see a shop with wood carvings, and they took me to one that was not at the scheduled stops. Very accommodating, also very knowledgeable about the history of Ghana and Africa. It was very fun and interesting!

I had a 12 hour layover in Accra and did a 5-6 hour day tour. Emmanuel was my tour guide. He picked me up at the scheduled time at the airport. He was kind, friendly and very knowledgeable. We visited all the sites on the itinerary. He took fabulous creative pictures of me at the sites. He helped me negotiate fair prices at the craft market for the items I wanted to buy. And he made sure I had great food to eat, especially since I’m vegan. Amazing experience and I would highly recommend this tour. Do it!!

This tour was an unforgettable introduction to Accra, blending history, culture, and vibrant local life into one enriching experience. From start to finish, everything was well-organized, making it easy to relax and truly take in the beauty of the city. One of the highlights was exploring the historical landmarks, which offered deep insight into Ghana’s past and its journey to independence. The guide was knowledgeable and passionate, bringing each location to life with meaningful stories and context that you wouldn’t get on your own. The cultural aspects of the tour were just as impressive. Visiting local markets and artisan spots gave a real sense of Accra’s energy and creativity. The opportunity to interact with locals and experience everyday life added an authentic touch that made the day even more special. The balance between sightseeing, learning, and leisure was perfect. There was enough time at each stop to explore without feeling rushed, yet the itinerary still covered a wide range of must-see locations in just one day. Overall, this experience is ideal for anyone wanting a comprehensive and engaging overview of Accra. Whether it’s your first visit or a return trip, this tour offers a deeper appreciation of the city’s beauty, history, and culture. Highly recommended!
