Our guide Erik was the perfect host for our private tour of Bratislava. As a local, he shared the history and his insight into the major tourist attractions. He adjusted the tour to our interests as well as the weather (it was freezing cold, windy and raining). Definitely recommend.

Every day of learning and cultural experiences with our very competent guide Catarina. She arrived on time, she had snacks and drinks in the car and she was a great driver. We spent the day learning history and culture of the area and she was an incredible wealth of knowledge. She had a great sense of humour and we loved spending our time with her. Highly, highly recommend. We were able to see the influences of Russian occupation along with western influences, architecture, and art.

It was a private tour, me, my wife and the guide. It was fantastic, both for Bratislava being a worthwhile destination, and for our guide, which was wonderful.

Our guide, Gabriella, met us at our hotel with a comfortable, clean car. She showed us the major sites while being flexible about our particular interests. Lunch was at a casual restaurant in an old monastery and later we stopped at a small cafe to sample local poppy seed pastries. Our guide was very knowable about Slovakia’s history and culture. I highly recommend this tour.

We took a day trip to Bratislava from Vienna and the experience was excellent from start to finish. The guide Gabriela arrived on time at the agreed time and, throughout the journey in her own vehicle, was telling us the history of Slovakia in a clear and engaging way. Being native of Bratislava, demonstrated great knowledge of the city and much attention in meeting our requests and interests throughout the tour. Our first stop was at Devin Castle, which was covered in snow. The landscape was simply beautiful, making the visit even more special. Then we had lunch at a local restaurant with typical Slovak food, all very tasty and well served. Then we went to the Old Town, where Gabriela took us to all the main sights, explaining the history and curiosities of each place with a lot of sympathy and care. In addition, she cared about taking great photos of us throughout the tour, which made a lot of difference to record the experience. At the end of the day, we visit the Slavín Memorial, an important monument and cemetery that honors the Soviet soldiers who liberated Bratislava during World War II. The location at the top of the hill also offers a distinct view of the city, closing the tour with a golden key. It was a very pleasant walk, well organized and quiet. I highly recommend to those who want to know Bratislava with comfort, information and an extremely attentive guide.

The walk was wonderful. Erica our guide picked us up at the hotel at the agreed time, told about the history of Slovenia and about every place we visited. She was nice, friendly and demonstrated knowledge to do this work. It was very enriching and pleasant the walk. We recommend Erica and the tour.

We had a wonderful private tour with Gabriela. She picked us from our hotel in Vienna and the drive was very comfortable. In an hour we reached Bratislava. She gave us the background and history of the city and country. We went to iconic landmarks of the city like Bratislava Castle, St. Martin’s Cathedral and the charm of the old town with UFO Bridge, Blue Church and so much more. It was a really memorable experience. At every location and monument, Gabriela explained us the background and history of the place. For lunch she took us to a traditional Slovak restaurant for some local food which was really nice. We went to the Christmas market and immersed in the city’s vibe. She also drove us to the old city where she did her education and the neighbourhood where she grew up. Post the wonderful experience, she drove us back and dropped us to our hotel in Vienna. I would highly recommend Gabriela for a wonderful private tour of Bratislava.

Wow, what an amazing day in Bratislava! The city is interesting historically from the old city to the more modern buildings in the brutalist style reminding you of the more recent Soviet Union. Additionally Bratislava was at the edge of the Iron Curtain so only do they have memories of that terrible time, but you can actually see remnants of the curtain’s metal fence and concrete pillars. The beautiful landscape and lovely people are a fascinating juxtaposition. The tour guide and driver truly made the experience though. Lubka, tour guide, and Tomsto (totally butchered his name), driver, were with me the whole day were not stop fountains of information on the history, but also modern life as they are both native to Bratislava. In addition to the planned stops we were also able to take some detours, for example the cycling bridge between Austria and Slovakia, the Soviet Monument, and the still working radio tour/building that is the quintessential brutalist building and a fascinating architectural feat (it’s an upside down pyramid). This tour with this company is wonderful, book it immediately! The owner, staff, and even the ‘fill staff’ are excellent! Thank you!!

What can I say? Gabriela truly made us feel like family. Bratislava is absolutely stunning and well worth a trip, but it is Gabi herself who made the difference. She was the best guide we’ve ever had!
