Only 2 km away is the tourist attraction Las Hornillas (not included in this package) and nearby are hot springs. We are 1 hour from Liberia Airport and the city, where you will go from warm weather to the freshness of the slopes of Miravalles volcano.

What To Expect
Cuilpilapan Miravalles
Start your experience at the reception of Cuilpilapan Miravalles, where you will be cordially received and given initial directions. From there, you will start a hike of approximately 3 km along nature trails surrounded by lush vegetation, enjoying panoramic views, crystal clear pools and local fauna. During the tour, you will have the opportunity to cross an impressive suspension bridge, from where you can appreciate unique landscapes and a spectacular view of the forest. Then, we will continue until we reach the river, following its course to a point where two spectacular falls meet, ideal to relax, cool down and capture unforgettable photographs. On the way back, we will visit the sloth plot, a natural space where you can observe them in their surroundings, learn about their behavior and appreciate the tranquility that characterizes them. 5.00Our young tour guide, Davide, was amazing. My husband and I were the only two people on the tour, and Davide was so knowledgeable and passionate about the environment we were in. (We did the shorter 2.5 hour tour, but there is a longer tour of 12km as well). He did not make us feel rushed at all. He stopped several times to show us local wildlife that we would have missed on our own. He also pointed out several different trees and explained their purpose. We said we’d love to see a sloth, and he said he would make sure we did… and we did! He took the time to radio someone else who had done the tour before us to ask specifically where it was, and he took us to the spot, even though it was a little bit off our trail. He carefully guided us to two beautiful waterfalls and offered to take pictures of us. He is a kind, smart, knowledgeable young man, and we were lucky to have him as our guide. 😊
