Riistavuoren and Huopalahden parks. Riistavuoren Park is situated in the eastern part of the city, while Huopalahden Park is located in the west. Riistavuoren Park is a hilly and wooded area that covers approximately 10 hectares. It is a popular destination for outdoor activities such as hiking, jogging, and picnicking. The park features a network of trails that wind through the forested hills and offer scenic views of the city. Huopalahden Park, on the other hand, is a larger and more varied green space that covers approximately 50 hectares. It features a mix of forested areas, meadows, and wetlands, as well as several small lakes. The park is home to a wide variety of plant and animal species. Both parks offer a peaceful escape from the urban environment of Helsinki and provide opportunities for visitors to connect with nature and engage in outdoor recreation. They are valued resources for the local community.
Seurasaaren Ulkomuseo
Cultural walk & BBQ @ Seurasaari - 1, 5 - 2 hrs *So we have the BBQ after the first way cycled. We will visit the island, walking for about 1km around it. Seurasaari Open Air Museum is a cultural institution that is dedicated to preserving and showcasing the country's traditional architecture, customs, and way of life. The museum is situated on a picturesque island, Seurasaari, which is connected to the mainland by a bridge. The museum features over 85 authentic wooden buildings that have been transported to the island from different parts of Finland, dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries. These buildings include farmhouses, manors, churches, and other structures that represent different regions and social classes in Finnish history. We will explore the these buildings and learn about the daily lives and cultural practices of the people who lived in them.

Wow - what an amazing experience exploring Helsinki on e-bike. Robert our guide was very friendly and informative, the bikes were super comfortable and easy to use, and the route was suitable for all. Just as we settled in for our yummy lunch it started to snow, and once we completed our Sauna we were greeted by a white-out which was a magical experience cycling our last leg through the local park and forest - Highly Recommend!!

Lovely day at a relaxed pace. Robert the guide was very engaging, knowledgable and enthusiastic. Cycling is mostly on excellent infrastructure cycle paths and forest trails. E-bikes are a little industrial but do the job if pedal assistance is required, but route is largely flat and pace very easy. Transport links and directions to start are excellent, although I would pay close attention to the weather, as you will get soaked if it's raining. very scenic and uplifting experience and the genuine Finnish sauna was fascinating.

This Helsinki Forest bike tour was outstanding, much to the credit of our guide, Robert. Robert’s knowledge of Finland’s history is diverse and he shared out of the ordinary stories of the country’s past. We rode e-bikes through the local forest to a heritage island where we ate a special lunch made by Robert, enjoyed in a little hut sheltered from the rain. The true highlight for my husband and I was the public pool where we enjoyed a hot sauna, a relaxing pool and attempts at a cold plunge. Afterwards, we were back on our bikes to see the Helsinki police horse stables and the beautiful community gardens. Robert also showed us the President and Prime Minister of Finland’s residences. The forest foliage hosted many varieties of mushrooms and small wildlife. This bike tour was definitely the highlight of our holiday in Helsinki. We highly recommend it! Special thanks to Robert for making the tour top notch :)

We had an absolute blast on our eBike tour and BBQ experience in Helsinki with Robert and his son Luca! Our family of 13, including kids, were all thrilled with the adventure. Robert's knowledge of Helsinki's history and landmarks added so much depth to the tour, and both he and Luca ensured our safety on the streets. The BBQ was delicious, and the lake dip was refreshing! The scenery was stunning, and the weather was perfect. We can't recommend this experience enough - it's a must-do in Helsinki! 5 stars isn't enough - we'd give it 10 stars if we could! Highly recommend!"

Turned out to be a private tour, as I was the only booking for the day! Fantastic experience, a truly different way to take in Helsinki, it's sights, and Finnish culture. If I was returning with others, I'd book this again in a heart beat.

This was a lot of fun and a great way to enjoy the environment. The saunas location and facilities were extraordinary. Cycling through the extensive urban forest was special.

Be comfortable riding a bike, the electric bike was great fun especially up some slight hills. Be able to ride carrying your stuff. It is a wonderful mix of activity ride thru forests & areas of town. Swimming was refreshing. Me (66), & grand kids 19 & 21 really enjoyed it, Luca was an excellent guide.
