May was an absolutely fantastic guide. She showed me a side of Shanghai I wouldn't find from a tourist guide. I had a brilliant morning. Without much time to see the city this bike ride helped me get to know the place a little bit. She was friendly and knowledgeable and made time to stop off in a temple, a market and both the French and Japanese concession. I would highly recommend May's tour to anyone.

What an incredible way to experience Shanghai. We went to the wet market, the Bund, various concessions (Japanese, British, French), Yu gardens, and ate a delicious authentic Chinese treat! May was an excellent tour guide. She kept a great pace and made me very comfortable despite the crazy bike culture. She also had quite a bit of historical background to share with every place we visited and took photos wherever we wanted. Thanks May!

I've been living in Shanghai for six months, because I'm studying here. After seeing a lot of the city (I thought) May managed to surprise me. At a breakneck pace, you will reach unique places/off the tourist trails. The conversations with the locals and the good quality bikes are definitely plus points. Highly recommended! Even if you have visited Shanghai before.

May and Mike were amazing tour guides! They gave amazing tips and ensured we were safe throughout the trip. We had a bad weather forecast but it turned out to be a blessing because of how accomodating and flexible May and Mike were, and in addition we had many less tourists around us.They also have amazing amounts of knowledge of the history relevant to the bike tour and they are great at storytelling, every moment was engaging and fun. We spent almost 4 hours with them and it didn’t feel that long at all and it was definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Shanghai. I highly recommend!

If you want to feel the city, see and feel like a local, than you should definitely engage excellent Mayfer. She will show you interesting streets and places, bars and restaurants where you can eat and drink very well and have fun of course. Mayfer is a professional, refreshing one and above good and nice person with whom you'll enjoy either walking or biking. Can't wait to come again and see Mayfer again! She made my visit to Shanghai really special.

This is the second time I do Bike tour with this company. Mayfer and the guys at Bike China Tours took care of me and my family. They set up all ours bikes to make sure we would have comfortable ride. Cycle was easy and they made sure that we knew where to ride and how to do it safery. The cost was right too. From the seat of a bike is the only way to see the city.

Our guide Jenny was knowledgeable, interesting and very happy to fit her tour around what was important to us. The cycling was easy and the pace gentle with many stops to look at interesting places along the way. She made sure we were safe and really gave us a personal introduction that helped us to plan our next 3 days. A great way to get your bearings of where everything is in the city and to find the best souvenir store ......Yu Garden Bazaar! thanks Jenny!

Although I have visited Shanghai many times in the past, this is the first time that I have done so on a bike. The 4 hour ride was simply marvellous for the whole family as it gave all of us a much better feel for this wonderful city. Jenny is extremely warm and friendly. She is also passionate about her adoptive city and remarkably knowledgeable. All around, a wonderful experience that we highly recommend.
