During these eight days, you will get acquainted with the main island of Socotra. You will take several walks through the national parks and the different regions of the island. You will taste the delicious cuisine of the island. In the evening you will mostly camping on beautiful beaches and among the dragon blood trees in beautiful locations where it is always special to wake up. From the moment you arrive at the airport, we will take care of your transportation accommodation, and food until we’ll bring you back to the airport. On the Island, you will get 4×4 private vehicle with a driver at all times, and all travelers have a window seat. For camping, we will provide you with full services and equipment: Comfortable double tents for every traveler, bigger tents for couples, mattresses, bed sheets, and pillows. Also portable Toilet Tents, canopies, tables, and chairs.

You’ll be greeted by our local Socotri guide, who will meet you at Hadiboh International Airport and drive you to the hotel. We’ll stop off in Hadibo city for the welcome meal and have a rest at the hotel. We will leave Hadiboh and visit two major natural attractions close to the town. At night you will get the dinner at a local restaurant then we will visit a little market near the center of town to allow you to choose your snacks and beverages besides what we were eating on our next camping adventure!
Delisha Beach
At 4 PM we will go to Delisha Beach. It has pristine sand that plunges into the blue waters of the Indian Ocean, which make it a perfect swimming spot. It is just as picturesque during sunset.

Early in the morning having light breakfast in the restaurant. We’ll start the day with a tour of Homhil National Park. Here, you can find Dragon Blood Trees that only grow on Socotra and Bottle trees as well as Cucumber plants. Once we’ve hiked for an hour or so, we will arrive at an incredible pool where one is able to see most of southern part of the island from above!
Arher Beach
Descend back of the mountain to cars and drive to the first camping area. Meeting your chef at Arher beach who will be waiting for you to enjoy your first lunch cooked by him. At Arher beach where salty sea water meets the fresh seawater. You can relax on green grass by a brook or swim in the clear blue waters of Arher beach and if you’re feeling up for it, climb 300m-high sand dune to get an amazing view that stretches out over this charming spot. Before the sun is sinking low into the see the driver will take you to Ras Erissel, one of the wonderful places on Socotra Island. It is the point of convergence between the Indian Ocean and the Arabic Sea at the far eastern side or you can call it the end of the Island, where found your self-surrounded by sea you from three directions. Going back to Arher camping place. At night you deserve a campfire and let you try the Ash-Roasted Potatoes with your preferred dinner.

Having the breakfast in the early morning to get energy for the next 2.5 hours which will be the most exciting part of your day! You’ll hike through beautiful and unique landscapes before entering Hoq’s Cave The largest cave in the middle east awaits you with its beautiful crystalline formations that have been attracting visitors since before recorded history began here at these sites where people came from far away just to see them up close.

Heading back to get your lunch in the Rosh Protected Area, remember that this area is really special. to have lunch. Drive to Dihamri Marine Protected Area and pitch your tent. The next exciting activity awaits you in the morning! Overnight in the Dihamri Protected Area.

Getting up in the morning for snorkeling or diving to see variety of colorful fish.
Diksam Plateau
Drive to the Dixam Plateau. Diksam is an expansive area in the center of Socotra that’s thick with dragon blood trees. There are vast limestone plains, making it a spectacular place to explore; one you’ll never want to leave! The lunch will be under a dragon blood tree. Dinner and overnight at a homestay. Enjoy home cooked food for dinner prepared by friendly hosts who will make you feel like part of their family. The food is delicious, the people are warm and welcoming – it’s like being at home! I’ve never felt more welcome or comfortable anywhere else

Aomak Beach
After breakfast, we’ll head to the south of Socotra’s beautiful island to the Noged Plain to explore areas filled with sand dunes. Lunch at Dagub cave. The Dagub cave in Noged Plain is considered one of the largest caves on this island, as it accommodates a number families during hurricane seasons. A car can transport visitors up to several meters from its entrance with ease and comfort! After noon, when the sun is not hot stop at the big sand dunes of Zahek and Hayf then swim across to Aomak Beach for some cool relief. Dinner and overnight under sky in Amak Beach camping place.

After breakfast, we will pass through the city of Hadibo to pack some necessities of food and drinks then heading to Qalansiya – one of only two major towns on our island.
Drive to the viewpoint over a rugged hill where Detwah Lagoon is located. This beach with its white sand and crystal-clear water makes for one of Socotra’s most beautiful sites. Our camp will be near to the beautiful Detwah. place hosted under shed by the generous woman Aunt Saadia’s. You can spend the rest of the day on beach, lying down listening to your favorite music, swim, play or even dance with locals.

Shoab beach
Getting boat from Qalansiyah village and sail to Shuab Bay and pass near some beautiful rock formations and plenty of native birdlife. On crystal clear water you will get the opportunity to start fishing your delicious dinner like royalty, afterward swim or lay out in this tranquil beach area which has ample space to do both activities comfortably.
Drive back to our camp at Detwah Lagoon luch. At night we will do the farewell feast with a flair! We’ll be cooking up some delicious food that you know will make your mouth water just looking at it.

5.00This trip gave us such incredible memories. Although full-on camping felt a bit unfamiliar at first, the breathtaking landscapes and unique terrain of Socotra made us almost forget any discomfort. Even now, I still miss those nights falling asleep under the stars in Socotra. Seeing a sky full of stars every single night is something you just can’t experience in the city. A big thank you to 2Socotra for taking such great care of our group. The chef was amazing—four delicious meals a day, and every single one was fantastic. We’re also really grateful to our guide and driver for taking us across mountains and seas, teaching us Arabic and local dialects, and sharing so many stories about Socotra’s history. We truly loved this trip and highly recommend everyone to visit this incredibly untouched island at least once.

4.00Finally I arrived in Socotra. Leaving behind the geopolitical turmoil, I will be met by guide Ali and driver/chef Kamal at the airport - we are about to start towards the northwest coast ... It's Ramadan. The first thing to notice: Religious rituals are taken seriously and practiced by the local population. Then it stands out: everywhere dirt. Waste and coloured plastic bags at every turn ... Suddenly in front of us: a car accident. I urge Ali and Kamal to go back. First aid. At the scene of the accident, I take care of the accidental automobile driver with Ali, while Kamal rolls out his carpet first, and prays. Then a local minibus drives by. We'll stop him. The men are getting out. Together we lift the vehicle lying on its side and put it back on the wheels. The victim is taken in a minibus - we drive to our first overnight camp on the coast. Picture-perfect area. Sunset. At the tourist groups next door, the power generators are turned on - they run all night, decorate the tents with flashing lights ... This is how the first day on Socotra went! I want to explore the island. Geographically, biologically and socially. Ali, Kamal and I found each other quickly. Mutual respect helps. The tour goes around the island. And over the mountain ranges. Kamal is a great driver (and good cook), Ali speaks excellent English and tries to answer my questions. And ask questions of your own. No taboos. Good conversations. I learn a lot, I don't rate anything. The week goes by, all the highlights are visited, I can hike a lot. And bathe. And eat well. Often also fresh fish, bought locally. In all places I come into contact with the local population, visiting schoolhouses, regional health facilities/hospitals, shops and markets. After this week I am invited to Kamal's house, meet the (male) half of his family. Hospitality! The second week I design individually, from Hadibu. Book driver/chef depending on the destination, but also immerse yourself in the social life in Hadibu. Meet interesting people. Feel strange, but safe. And stay in touch with Ali and Kamal. And Ahmed, the head of the agency, who always offers hand for my ideas/wishes. Conclusion: Socotra was something of a place of longing. In reality, this island is remote, dusty, with enormous development needs. And it's beautiful, always where no waste accumulates. - The island has a young population, and potential. If the policies of the Gulf states were with the people ...

5.00Made an unforgettable journey in early March 2026. An amazing island like another planet. Beautiful landscapes with dragon and blossoming bottle trees, oceanfront with turquoise water and snow white desert beaches - a photographer's paradise. Lost villages with clay houses, goats and colorful inhabitants - it's as if you're in the past or on another planet. Very sympathetic, kind people! Smiling, cheerful and happy. A lot of fun kids who like to take pictures. The travel arrangements were very good. We've been secured plane tickets, visas for the island. Great guys - guide Ahmed and driver-chef Awohl did everything we needed - food, tents, and of course, interesting tours and stories about the island. Thank you guys so much!

5.00I could not recommend 2 Aocotra anymore. They were very helpful throughout the process of booking flights and any questions that came up. They processed the visa and my drone registration, and didn’t have to pay for anything upfront besides the flight from Abu Dhabi to Socotra. On top of that, they were the least expensive, and all the tours have same accommodations and same food. The tour guide ( Abubakker Abdullah) and the driver (Abdalwasa Abdullah Hoash) were exceptional. They both added so much to this already spectacular destination. You can’t go wrong booking with 2 Socotra and the tour guide and driver duo. Thank you for everything. We will be back

The team took care of us with genuine kindness and respect, and I felt safe, welcomed, and truly seen throughout the whole trip. Our guide was attentive, helpful, and made sure we experienced the best of the island each day. The places we visited — the mountains, caves, beaches, sunrises and sunsets — felt like stepping into another world. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour. 4.00Journey Diary - Montenegro May 2025 21-26.5.25 ✈️ We landed in Tivat and took a car we rented in the country. First stop: Puerto Monttango - a beautiful tour of coffee and ice cream. We continued to Budva. The short but narrow way. Hotel Sanja was reasonable, excellent location. In the evening we walked the old city - alleys, restaurants and a magical atmosphere. We gave up the cable car due to the weather, walked through the Old Town, tasted a karmpita and sat in the Prast and the rocks. Mount Lovchen was a driving challenge – a narrow and twisted road. On the way back we stopped in the village of Nagoshi and Tsutaniya, returning to Bodega in clogging. “Tuesday – Sebastian Stefan, Petrovich, Bar and Ulcin. Beautiful places, but Ulcin was less pleasant. On the way back I got a fine from the police – 40€ for speed. Wednesday - Skadar Lake cruise with Kristina - Israelis will recognize her. A calm and pleasant experience. We continued to the Niagara Falls and a short visit to Podgorica - less impressive. Thursday – Budva again: a ballet statue, Mogarin Beach, Chichi, a calm ending in the beloved Petrovich. ✍️ Tips: 1. Narrow and rough roads - plan times. Parking is not always easy. 3. Shoping - Medium. 4. Bakeries - great! Montangro - a quiet destination, spectacular views and a unique atmosphere.
