  Marvin was incredible. Especially if you’re a cruise ship passenger, we got an amazing glance of all parts of Roatan. We saw breweries, local neighborhoods, shops, restaurants, and more with a local. It is all on your own time which makes it all the better. No being rushed out with a group. 10/10 would recommend.   Our custom excursion in Roatán was absolutely beyond amazing! From the moment we were picked up, we knew we were in great hands. M&M was professional, friendly, and genuinely passionate about showing us only the best of the island. We didn’t want a cookie-cutter tour, and Custom Roatán Adventures delivered exactly what we were hoping for — a personalized experience that matched our interests perfectly. They asked what kind of day we wanted and created the ideal balance of adventure, relaxation, and local culture. We explored hidden beaches, snorkeled in crystal-clear waters teeming with colorful fish, and even swam with pigs. Our guide shared fascinating stories about Roatán’s history, wildlife, and culture — it felt like spending the day with a friend who truly loves their home. Everything was handled flawlessly — safe, comfortable transportation, flexible timing, and thoughtful touches all along the way.   In one sentence: GIVE THEM A TRY! We travelled on MSC World America, and out of 4 ports, this was the best excursion! I had communicated with Marvin before the trip, came up with a complete plan on what we wanted to see, and sent it. He provided feedback and planned it out accordingly prior to our arrival. My wife wanted to visit a school as she's a teacher, so I had included that too. Marvin made everything happen - Monkeys and Sloths, island tour, snorkeling, chocolate factory and then visiting a school and local markets. We basically saw all of Roatan in one day, making the most out of every minute. If we had done a shore excursion from the ship, a school visit wouldn't have been possible, and we would've had to sacrifice at least one of the activities. One price to fit all activities, no time limit and personalized service touring with a local has been the best way for us to visit ports when cruising, and Marvin made our visit to Roatan memorable!   The short story: They exceeded my expectations! The Long Story: I stumbled upon this business in a cruise facebook group. I expected the typical cruise excursion experience; several people, rushed feeling, commercial ish. Which would have been fine since it was just me and my daughter (she’s 5). After meeting up with Marvin, we loaded up and took off for the day. Not a whole bus, just the three of us. It was surprising but as the day went on, it was great. He was amazing, and so mindful! He shared knowledge and history of the island, pointing out special buildings or areas while driving to different destinations. He truly took care of us all day! We first went to see the Monkeys and Sloths. This nature center was smaller but they were so knowledgeable and very friendly. They took great pictures and had many animals to interact with. We had so much fun! They put a photographer with us, who took over 180 pictures of us interacting with the animals. They only charged a small fee for all digitals, emailed in a Google drive folder! Next we went to ride ATVs. Again, everyone we interacted with here was also very friendly and helpful. Amora and I were able to share an ATV and spent 30-45 mins riding. We stopped at a chocolate factory. Amora LOVES chocolate; she was thrilled. The building across the street looked like a giant sea turtle (pictured). Completely out of our control, it began to rain as we headed to the beach. Not just a sprinkle, but heavy rain. We made the most of it despite the rain. The beach was gorgeous and perfect for swimming, but they also had a pool. Food and beverages were served at the bar. While the smelled amazing, we didn’t try any. I wish we could have spent more time here! Lastly, we stopped at the Rotan sign for a final picture before heading back. The only part of the day I questioned was the walk to meet Marvin, but don’t be discouraged! Marvin sent pictures prior to our arrival with directions I could reference, when in doubt. We had never been to this port (Carnival) and it was me and my 5 year old… So, a little bit of anxiety plus I was unsure I was going the right way. You will leave the “port” area, walk down a side walk, then see several other tour groups down the hill. We told the main person who our tour was with and he connected us to Marvin. Once we met him, all worries started to go away! We can’t wait to go back! I recommend taking some cash for the various places you’ll stop.

  Fantastic tour, very good contact in advance and nice appointments. On the day itself, Marvin was waiting for us. He tells all sorts of things about Roatan. Stops where you want to stop. As icing on the cake a boat trip to an amazing snorkeling spot. We were 14 people and would recommend this to everyone.

  Our family of 5, plus grandmother, booked Custom Roatan Adventures for an excursion last week. We could not have been happier! We booked a private city tour, snorkeling in coral reef, and monkeys and sloths. Our communication was clear and easy. Our guide, M&M, was waiting for us when we got off our ship. M&M drove us in a well-appointed van, stocked with cold drinks in a cooler. He told us number of interesting facts about the island and town, while entertaining us with stories. Our first stop was a “surprise” – local empanadas for a snack! Delicious! We then met up with our boat, and boat driver to go snorkeling. Beautiful. M&M met us after snorkeling, and we continued on to visit chocolate and rum factories, where we had many samples. We ended our day visiting monkeys and sloths. Even though we were unable to hold the sloths, our monkey, Tom, made up for it. We had the best day in Roatan! It’s a beautiful island. The people were friendly. We felt very safe. And the hospitality shown to us was second to none. Highly recommend Custom Roatan Adventures!

  6 of us friends from high school decided to take a cruise which took us to Roatan, Honduras. We booked with Custom Roatan Adventure and they did not dissapoint. Melvin was AWESOME. I have been on my trips/cruises and this is by far the best tour and guide. Melvin was always happy to answer any and all questions, very knowledgeable, took us to anywhere we wanted. Would recommend 200%!!

  We went to Roatan for scuba diving, but fell in love with the people and the land. This mainly was due to our private tour with Marvin. He picked our family of four up from our hotel and created a tour for us that involved seeing the sites and towns from his air conditioned vehicle. He then took us to an area where we boarded a boat and headed to our own private floating bar. We enjoyed fresh coconuts and snorkeled. From there we headed to a restaurant that is only accessed by boat. We finished up at a local brewery. Marvin‘s knowledge and kindness made the whole day enjoyable for us. Often times my teenagers are bored on land tours, but we all agreed that this was our best day in Roatan. I cannot recommend Marvin enough and everyone who goes to Roatan should see the local villages and the beautiful landscape that island has to offer.
