A horrible experience, we only stayed 20 minutes, and the boy told us that there are no more auroras when that night was the day of the auroras and many could see them, it is a shame, I do not recommend it.

The tour guidee was amazing , she took us along with another family to two spots isolated from any light polution . Took us excellent photos and gave us plenty of time to check out the skies. She then made glogi ( local warm drink) and gave us buscuits . It was really phenominal. Definitelt recommend this tour.

We drove 5 kilometers from Rovaniemi. The driver said that due to the cloud cover, we wouldn't see the aurora, so there was no point in going any further. Instead, we were supposed to have a pleasant evening by the bonfire. The bonfire was located by the highway, in a completely inappropriate spot for it. The promised snacks were simply a bag of cookies and marshmallows to be shared between nine people. After 20 minutes of pointless waiting, we got in the car and waited for the bus to leave for home. We felt cheated and embarrassed.

Last night we had a wonderful guide Niilo for our family friendly Northern Lights tour. Niilo picked us up in Santa Claus Village and through his experience he said a short drive to a busy lake area should be successful. He was absolutely correct. We arrived to the frozen over lake and immediately got some glimpses of the Northern Lights. Niilo helped us adjust our camera settings to get the best photos we could. Our children played in the area and we entered a yurt with a wood flamed fire for some nice heat. When we left the yurt we got to witness the most amazing display of the Northers Lights. The lights filled and danced around the sky. We were amazed at this spectacular display and spent another while at the lake. We got some beautiful family photos also thanks to Niilo. We traveled the short distance back to our suite and relaxed while chatting about our spectacular night. This night will live long in our memories..I would highly recommend this family Northern Lights tour and hopefully you get lucky amd have Niilo as your host
