We were a 70 and 72 year old on a cruise. We docked at 10.00 and were booked on the 11.00 departure. A bit of a scrum at the tent for the train as they also were taking cash bookings for a separate hop on hop off bus. Some were getting over excited, even though we had plenty of time. We had an online booking which was exchanged for a ticket. We made our way to the train and let ourselves on, selecting the front row of the second carriage. We had a great view. The seats are designed for 4 but realistically only take 3. I believe they seated 50 in the three carriages listed as taking 20 each. We were left as a two, which was fortunate as I have long legs. The trip was good and we saw quite a lot. We only stopped once at the lookout which was good. It gave us a flavour of the place, with a good commentary.

We arrived by cruise ship and we had booked the tour before arriving. The departure was delayed because the tour company had expected us to arrive earlier. This was not a problem. We were directed to sit towards the front of the train and off we set. The tour was very interesting to someone who has never been to Noumea before. The place is delightful and the locals are clearly pleased to see tourists. Our guide spoke excellent English and gave a very full description of our journey. I would thoroughly recommend the toy train tour. It’s really easy to find and lots more to explore in the local area. I felt so safe and relaxed in the city and it is obviously so French. A really great place would love to return and stay for a few days.

What a wonderful and informative little trip. Our cruise ship docked late so therefore we were late for our 10.30am train ride. This was not an issue and they quickly placed us on the 1130am train, no questions asked. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone going to Noumea. Very informative. Wonderful staff and knowledge.Thank you for looking after us.

The tour itself was great, the pre tour was very disappointing. Not clear guidelines where to check in. Once I was at the right check in point the gentleman advised that our tour time had been moved to a later time. I advised I had two small children in our group and that we picked that time. The gentleman offered free hop on hop off bus which we could not use due to later tour time & having small children. I provided feedback to the tour company who basically fobbed me off.

We were crowded in our seats because they have four people in each row and the two that were already sitting in our row were morbidly obese, taking our space.

A fabulous way to see some of the sites of Noumea (edpecially on a Sunday). Our guide Anna and driver Captain Henry were great value. Commentry was well thought out and easy to understand. The volume of the commentary was very good and was easily heard in the back row of the ladt carriage. Anna was helpful with assisting guests in having photos taken. A great tour for all ages. Thanks for giving up your day of rest to enable tourists to enjoy your town.

An absolute must when in Noumea!!! Clean, prompt and just the right amount of time to get a clear overview of this beautiful island. And pickup was right outside the doors of the cruise port!!

too crowded. The seats are way too small. Me and my wife are slim Asian and we find the train uncomfortable.
