We are from the Metropolitan region and had passed through the center but realized that we did not really know Santiago! The very friendly guide, knowledgeable about the place and its history, knew where to eat well, where the photo looked better and we visited a cultural center that was under us and we had never seen. An authentic and recommendable experience.

I did the Santiago Famoso tour and it was one of those experiences that really make a difference when you visit a city for the first time. It wasn’t just walking and seeing buildings; it was understanding what I was seeing and connecting with the history and current life of Santiago. We toured very emblematic places such as the National Library of Chile, Cerro Santa Lucia (with beautiful views!), the surroundings of Palacio de la Moneda and ended up in the charming neighborhood Barrio Lastarria, which I loved to stay later having a quieter coffee. But what really made the tour special was Sebastian, our guide. You could tell he loves what he does. It explained everything in a very clear way, mixing history with anecdotes and details of daily life in Chile that you don’t find in a tourist guide. In addition, he was always attentive to our questions and made the atmosphere very relaxed and close. At no time did it feel like a heavy class, but rather like touring the city with someone who really knows it. I also liked that it was not a huge group, that allowed the experience to be more personalized and dynamic. I totally recommend it if you want to go beyond the superficial and really understand Santiago. It is ideal for the first or second day in the city. And if you are Sebastian as a guide, you will be very lucky 😊
