What To Expect
Jinshan
Your friendly guide and the driver will pick up at your hotel lobby at your preferred time. Hop on to the air-conditioned, comfortable vehicle, enjoy the nice ride to Jingshan District, one of the important agricultural and fishing areas in Shanghai. Upon arrival, pay the visit to the local eco farm and experience the fun fruit or vegetable picking on the Chinese farm (With seasonal fruits or vegetable available such as strawberries, cherry, peaches, pears, grapes, dragon fruits etc.). Then take a break and have a delightful and freshly prepared lunch on the organic farm.
Fengjing Ancient Town
After lunch, head to Fengjing ancient water town, with a history of 1500 years, it is ranked top four famous water town and also one of the best-preserved one in China. Here you will spend quality time to explore the charming town from stone paved alley streets, colorful water markets, interesting local arts, handicrafts, ancient bridges, choose to take a relaxing gondola ride along old canals to fully appreciate the tranquil and picturesque scenery while learning the fascinating local culture, history, custom from your guide. After an enjoyable day, you will be transferred back to your downtown hotel.

5.00This was the highlight of our visit to Shanghai, sunny (our tour guide) is very prompt, punctual and organized. From the second we booked via Viator, she was in touch and asked us all the right questions to make the trip smooth and easy. She was at the hotel lobby at 9:30 exactly and she immediately took us to a nice Van to start the trip. On the way she did explain and brief us about everything there to see in Shanghai, as well as, answering all of our questions about life in China in general. We reached the farm with in an hour, and I was really surprised, it’s not your basic farm, it’s a well developed farm, with a lake, green houses, animals and a restaurant that serves the locally produced crops. We met a very beautiful and happy Chinese farmers family (who were so hospitable and nice), and after picking up strawberries we had lunch and got set to go to the water town. We reached the water town within 30 min, and it was breathtaking, it’s so authentic and original with far less tourists than the other well known water towns. It’s so well preserved with original architecture and beautiful canals. I would make this one of my must do’s every time I visit Shanghai, it caters to both adults and kids. My twins just had a blast at the farm, they didn’t feel the time, and riding a gondola at the water town was just magical. Sunny made sure we had a great time and I would recommend this tour to everyone who needs to see an authentic China.
