Our guide (Ben) was amazing. We learned so much about the Fijian culture through this experience. The hikes we strenuous but worth every step. We experienced a totally different aspect of Fiji than a resort. All went smoothly, the communication was great. Definitely recommended for those who to experience the "real" Fiji.

Authentic and awesome! The trip took us high into the real Fiji. Staying in villages with meals prepared by the resident ladies we were immersed in culture. Sharing stories and laughing a lot were highlights of the trip. Some hills were very steep, but the guides were supportive and we all made the peaks. We go to swim in beautiful waterholes along the Saratoga river and ate lunch on the banks. A truly memorable experience.

Such a great way to escape the tourist hordes and help support highland communities. Great scenery and even better people. An extraordinary experience.

If you want to see the true beauty of Fiji's Highlands as well as experience authentic Fijian culture and food, then look no further than Talanoa treks. My partner and I spent 3 days and 2 nights trekking through beautiful landscapes with our main guide Jake and our local Fijian guides. We stayed in the villages in between our hikes and were welcomed with open arms by the villagers who prepared amazing meals that nourished us in between our adventures. I truly believe if you want to have the real Fiji experience, Talanoa treks are the people that can help you with that. Vinaka Vakalevu for making our Fiji trip so memorable

Most people probably don't think of Fiji as a hiking destination, but Talanoa Treks puts it on the map. The trekking superb, with fantastic vistas, challenging climbs (and even more challenging descents), stunning waterfalls and extraordinary flora. It was rivaled only by the hospitality at each night's stay and the extraordinary and indelible introduction to Fijian traditional culture. Forget the preserved-in-amber "traditional" performances at the major resorts, what you see in the highlands is the real deal, with real people and honest interactions. I learned so much from the cava ceremonies because we were participants in the conversation, not just onlookers. And hiking with local guides gave me a much better perspective on the history and traditions of the region. My only regret was leaving the highlands for the artificiality of the country's coastal resorts.
