Beautiful nature some butterflies, unfortunately end of season but still beautiful. You can see crabs cats anyway and has a nice hiking trail, though possibly exhausting for some. Nevertheless, there are always small rest corners to take a break

We had a great time during this visit. The monastery is really beautiful, very well maintained and exudes serenity. The tree-lined walkways are splendid, you really take your eyes with these green landscapes and peaceful atmosphere. Regarding the Butterfly Valley, we initially thought we would discover several species, but in reality it is an impressive concentration of the same type of butterfly. It remains a breathtaking sight: seeing so many of them in their natural environment is a unique experience. The course that surrounds them is perfectly arranged and integrates harmoniously into nature, which makes the walk even more pleasant. The time allotted to the visit, whether for the monastery or the valley, is amply enough to fully enjoy the place without rushing. Practical advice: plan comfortable walking shoes, as some parts of the path can be a bit steep. In short, a rewarding and well-organized visit, which allows you to discover both a superb cultural heritage and an impressive natural curiosity. We highly recommend!

The transport was on time and the driver friendly. Both stops were long enough to enjoy the experiences, without being too long. We loved the view from the cross on the hill and the peacocks roaming freely around us. The butterfly valley was remarkable, although crowded with tourists like ourselves.

The journey was a bit long to the Hill where ther wer lots of peacocks and the view was amazing from the cross but the monastey was not much. The butterfly valley had no butterflies so it was a disappointment even though I had read that they would have some. The cafe was a bit over priced there and the walk in the valley was a bit steep and not easy.

We visited on a very rainy day in May but still worth the visit, the Cross is marvellous and the views are amazing the site is pretty run down looking but I guess that’s ok. Take bread with you, the hotels always put out too much so take some with you, trust me…

Have fun with views of large parts of the island and many pineapples on Filerimos. It is important to check that there are actually butterflies in the butterfly valley before you travel. Our travel agency didn't tell us this.
