This food tour was a wonderful blend of culinary delights and cultural insights. The pacing was spot on—three hours passed effortlessly, even with the weather. The curated food selections were thoughtful and satisfying, never overwhelming, and each stop felt well chosen. The stall owners were welcoming, and I really enjoyed their friendly vibes, which added to the overall experience. Definitely a great way to spend my time.

Our guide, Serene, was cheerful and informed. She led us around Chinatown through shady paths and some air-conditioned areas, making it a nice walk in Singapore's oppressive heat and humidity. I enjoyed the information on the history and cultural aspects of the places we visited and was particularly entertained by the stories on the myths and legends Serene told. The food, drinks and snacks that Serene got for us were good and representative of Singapore. I especially enjoyed the crispy skin of the roast pork, the rich creamy laksa and the spicy curry puff. The fresh sugar cane juice with lemon was refreshing and the Kopi-O-Kosong was full-bodied. The tour was timed to perfection! We avoided the crowds and did not have any trouble getting seats or having to suffer long queues. I would definitely recommend taking this tour with Istoria Collective Singapore. I felt taken care of and quite pampered on this guided tour. I will be looking out for other tours conducted by this company.

An incredibly thoughtful and immersive three hours in Chinatown — easily one of the best ways I've spent time exploring Singapore. Our guide Serene is the real highlight. Her knowledge of the neighborhood's history is impressive, and what stood out most was her ability to answer even detailed questions with genuine enthusiasm. It was clear this is someone who truly loves what she does and knows it deeply. The route is well planned, weaving through Sri Mariamman Temple, the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, and Thian Hock Keng Temple, gives the tour a cultural depth and spaces out the eating. A practical detail I really appreciated: the route is designed to account for the heat, which makes a real difference when you're on foot in Singapore. On the food side - no tourist traps here. We ate proper local dishes: roasted meats with rice, laksa, curry puff, and kaya toast with coffee. Highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to eat and experience Chinatown + Hong Lim Complex rather than just pass through it.

I didn't travel much, even though I was a senior living in Singapore, and I didn't get to know Singapore very often, so I went on this tour and had a very good experience. We had them take us to a few hidden hawkers and restaurants that only locals know about, but the Laksa and roast pork shops were the best!! I personally thought laksa tasted better than that famous katon laksa. I also had them take me to a temple in India, which was very refreshing. Even if you are interested in a temple in India, you don't have the courage to enter it, so you can be assured that locals will take you there like this. SERENE, who took me, is cheerful, cheerful and easy to talk to, so you can definitely ask her here!! It is also recommended for those who come to sightseeing, and for those who are stationed in Japan. You can taste the deep Singapore that is not in the guidebook.

The tour starts in the morning and lasts about 3 hours. A delicious, fun and moderate walk around Chinatown with 3 girls and a cheerful guide. Class reunion? So peaceful. I'm so happy that I was able to eat so much in the morning with an appetite that felt like I was back in middle school. Enjoy history and gourmet food efficiently in a short time ❤️ I was able to explore deep parts of the city that I normally don't know about😺

On Saturday, I went out to dinner with my family on an oxcart water group tour, and for the first time walked for three hours so long and fun, I introduced everyone to try. Five stars for Ronald and Serene 👍

I've lived in Singapore for over 60 years, and when I first went to the Hindu temple, I knew a lot about the history of bullock cart water and felt the buzz. It's been a pleasure to join this group, learn a lot and eat and drink a lot of good food and drink. Thanks to guide Serene, Ronald took us so far.
