  • Great food tour in downtown Charlotte Amelie

This was a terrific tour. We saw five local restaurants, each serving a couple of different local foods and drinks. Each place had its onw signature dish, it was a great way to see some local fare. The guide was terrific, and enthusiastic.

I had such a great experience on the Flavors of St. Thomas Walking Food Tour! It was the perfect mix of food, culture, and history. Each stop gave us a chance to try something authentic, from local Caribbean dishes to sweet treats. And everything was so full of flavor. What really stood out was how knowledgeable and engaging the guide was. He didn’t just walk us from place to place—he shared stories about the island, its people, and the history behind the food & establishments, which made the whole experience feel much more meaningful. The pace was comfortable, and the portions were just right—I left full but not overly stuffed. It was a great way to explore parts of St. Thomas I wouldn’t have found on your own.

We ate well, learned some neat things about St. Thomas, and got in quite a few steps. You learn how to make a mixed drink, sample some rum, and eat other local foods. You will love the two or so hours of this tour and remember to eat well!

The tour was filled with history and samples of great food, and a few adult beverages. It was a wonderful wag to see parts of the city that we would have not seen. Lisa, our tour guide was very entertaining.

  • Our tour guide Sabrina was amazing! Energetic, very knowledgeable, and knew a lot of of the local owners and shopkeepers

Fun, low-key, local tour. Great connection to the downtown business owners plus local eats, and make your own rum punch!

Sabrina was an excellent guide. She had a lot of knowledge of the area. She did go into some history and local traditions but it was a nice balance. The food and libations were a very nice mix.

Fire, Fire! Actually, the incredible guide was Fiyah, and she offered such great history about St. Thomas. I learned a lot. We started at Fort Christian, and Fiyah pointed to the lookout towers that kept watch when hoodlings would be approaching the island. Blackbeard had a home on St. Thomas and the pirates helped keep the peace. We saw the largest church on the island, and she also pointed out the oldest synagogue in the western hemisphere. This was a culinary experience and we started with fishcakes. We also had a wonderful chocolate bushwhackers rum drink that was yummy and accompanied by a delicious salmon ball. Next was a rum punch that we made ourselves. The highlight was dessert, of course. We had a sort of bananas Foster, prepared flambe at a very nice upscale restaurant. The tour was topped off at a quick rum tasting. This was a totally enjoyable tour.

  • Great foodie tour!

We met up at Fort Christian downtown and Sabrina told us the history of the Fort as well as the surrounding area as we walked. Very interesting! Our first stop was at E’s Garden Tea House and Things which was nice and cool inside. We enjoyed hibiscus and lemongrass tea. The food served was a salt cod quiche with a little side salad. The quiche was delicious! We went on to sample great drinks and food in various places: salmon ball (similar to a croquette), a wonderful drink I can’t remember the name of (!) at the Sugarcane Grille; chicken curry, rice/beans, fried plantains at Tuck’s; make your own rum and pineapple juice drink at Drakes; bananas flambé at Virgilio’s. Everything was delicious! My favorites were the salt cod quiche and the bananas flambé. Everyplace we went to was either air conditioned, or had a nice breeze. Sabrina was a great guide and we enjoyed our day.
