Our tour focuses on making social impact on local communities. We hire skillful floral artisans from nearby communities, where many residents could not afford English language classes. Teaching floral handicraft to foreign guests is their opportunity to learn English and earn income at the same time. On the other hand, we offer a hands-on workshop which you will need to stab many Thai jasmines into a skewer. It is very challenging to “not losing track”, i.e. to align the top flower with the bottom one throughout a skewer.
Highlights of the tour:
1. Walk in the flower market to explore numerous flower selections.
2. Lotus folding workshop with a local seller.
3. Visit Kalayanamitr Temple, a smoothing blend of Thai and Chinese Buddhism.
4. 60 minutes of floral workshop (Thai flower garland) with local artisans.
5. Visit Baan Kudi Chin Museum, the learning place about Siam–Portuguese lineage.

What To Expect
Pak Khlong Flower Talat Original
We will go explore Pak Khlong Talad, the original and largest flower market of Bangkok with an extensive of produce selection. Many local florists visit this market in the early morning to buy fresh flowers in bulk to make floral handicraft. On the way, we will visit the Shrine of Somdet Boonma, one of the major founders of Krung Ratanakosin (or Bangkok, Thailand’s current capitol). You will see how Thai people use flower to pay respect to the revered person.
Pak Khlong Flower Talat Original
A mini floral handicraft workshop with a local lotus seller. You will learn how to fold Bua Luang (cone-shaped lotus) and Bua Chut (ball-shaped lotus). We will bring our folded lotuses to pay respect to a buddha image at Kalayanamitr Temple (our next destination). Paying respect to the lord Buddha is voluntary. You may not need to do so if you have religious restrictions.

5.00We had a lovely time with Lin (our guide) and Kevin (our driver). She picked us up on time and was so informative. We loved getting to see the flower market and learn more about the significance of the different flower arrangements! We also really enjoyed learning how to make jasmine garlands and how to fold lotuses. We learned a lot at the temple stop and Lin is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to Thai history and Buddhism! Thank you for a lovely afternoon.

3.00Lin is an amazing guide and Kevin is an outstanding driver too — very knowledgeable, kind, and engaging! Lin is a five star guide and photographer. We visited temples and shrines, but did not make as much flowers as the tour promises. We had two flower-building moments with traditional alms and lotus. Creating with the flowers was the best part and I hope the tour company can build more opportunities for that. Thank you, Lin and Kevin! You were both wonderful!

5.00This tour was a hit with our family. We contacted them and let them know we would have a limited amount of time in the morning before our flight left, and we'd need to condense the schedule. They worked with us and got us exactly what we wanted. We all thoroughly enjoyed learning to work with the flowers, and the shop workers were very patient with us. It gave us a new appreciation for the work that goes into their creations. At our break for some street food, our guide knew the vendor and arranged for me to join him behind the counter and try my hand at making some Thai pancakes - what a great experience! Wonderful end to our time in Bangkok.

4.00We stopped by the flower market to buy orchids of which there are so many and at such a cheap price. The flower market is just as you would expect, and surrounded by store upon store selling bunches of everything aswell as bouquets and arrangements to order. The area is very crowded as to be expected but there are many small restaurants to grab a bite if need be.
