If you haven’t seen Hozenji Temple yet, let’s go explore together! Right in the heart of the bustling city, we’ll walk through an alleyway that feels like a step back in time. Discover Hozenji Temple, and immerse yourself in the rich history and atmosphere of this unique area.
Dotombori
Just step off Dotombori's main street, and you'll find yourself in a lively area where locals love to gather. Here, we’ll stop by 1 or 2 cozy local izakayas (Japanese-style pubs) and bars and enjoy unique food and drinks just like the locals do! We’ll also walk through vibrant backstreets, hidden alleys, and local spots along the way. Your guide will take photos throughout the tour, so you’ll have lasting memories. ※You'll walk about 5 minutes between each izakaya (occasionally up to 10 minutes). Haven’t had a chance to see the famous Dotombori Glico Sign yet? We’d be happy to go check it out with you!

5.00I was traveling solo and am so happy I decided on this tour! Tetsu was so friendly and helpful. I even got to explore some less touristy neighborhoods and try many new dishes. Everything I tried was absolutely delicious! I loved meeting the friendly locals and got to connect with them in a way I couldn’t have if I was out on my own. Tetsu was really mindful of how I’m feeling and what my preferences are throughout the tour. Traveling alone as a woman I’m really picky about the experiences I choose and this was a great choice - he made sure I felt safe and comfortable everywhere we went. It was such a unique and memorable experience at such an affordable price! Highly recommend it.

5.00Tetsu is an amazing guide! He took us to lots of small local places that we probably couldn't have gotten into as foreigners without a local. We went to two different neighborhoods, learned about local history and culture, and made friends with both bartenders and other patrons! By the end of the night we were buying drinks for everyone in the bar (these places are small... like 6 people total), and vice versa. It was a really special experience. We may, or may not, have also introduced the local Osaka bar scene to the concept of a prickleback shot ¯_(ツ)_/¯

5.00What an amazing night. You couldn’t make this happen unless you were with a local, and had such strong social ties to the community as the tour host does. We loved our night out. Hands down our best night of the trip. We hope to make it back to Japan soon, most especially to spend another night on this tour. If you’re on the fence, trust me, dive right in and sign up for this tour. You won’t regret it. The company was amazing, the food was incredible, the drinks were top notch.

5.00We had an amazing night. This was by far our favourite night of the trip. You will never be able to have this type of experience on your own. It’s only possible if you’re a local and connected to the area after years of social investment (enter stage the tour operator). We hope to come back to Japan for this tour again. 5.00Tatsu was an amazing guide! He took me to hidden bars I never would have discovered on my own and helped break the ice with locals throughout the night. He mixed in just the right amount of sightseeing, and we ended the evening at a karaoke bar—which was the perfect finish. I had an incredible time and would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Japan!

5.00We had such a fun time visiting several hidden gem izakayas that we would never have been able to find on our own. Tetsu is a great host! He has good relationships with the izakaya owners and other locals, recommends yummy dishes, and encourages us to try special/rare items that we never even knew existed. Next time we are in Osaka we will definitely be booking another tour with Tetsu!
