We generally run the tour in Rainy weather, except in the case of typhoons or heavy rain warnings (We recommend bringing an umbrella)

5.00Tetsu was a warm and friendly host who showed me several cosy local izakayas. We chatted to some locals, ate a range of amazingly tasty and humble little dishes, and tried some truely unique drinks like warm puffer fish sake. I thoroughly enjoyed this, thanks so much Tetsu.

5.00I spent two weeks in Japan last fall (2025), and my food and drink tour with Tetsu ranks as one of the highlights of my entire trip. There is zero chance I'd have seen or known about any of the places where we stopped, so I feel super fortunate to have found this tour. I went solo when ended up being awesome and possibly allowed me to visit places that a larger group wouldn't fit, but I can imagine it'd still be a blast with a small group. Can't recomment this tour enough!

5.00The experience was really good, showed round some really cool bars where we drunk and spoke with locals, tried good local food, good local beer. Sake for the first time and couldn't say a bad word about it. Tetsu was my guide and he's amazing.

5.00We had the most wonderful evening with Tetsu our first night in Osaka! He took us to 3 charming local establishments with such friendly and fun people we would have never been able to experience on our own. Bring cash since you pay for what you order, but this ended up to be such a good deal!! We tried all the authentic food and drinks we wanted-and ended up having 6 drinks each and tried 25 different local dishes for only an additional $35 per person!!!! This is the way to do it as opposed to a set group tour where you only get a few dishes for more money. Tetsu was flexible with time and whatever we wanted to do and see. I HIGHLY recommend this experience! Thank you for sharing Osaka with us, Tetsu! 🙏🙏🙏

5.00Hanging out with Tetsu was the most authentic Japanese experience I had over a 14 day trip. Every place he took me to was exactly what I was looking for. I met the locals and did what the locals do. No tourists, except for myself. Some of the best food I have ever had as well. I highly recommend.

I value what and how much I learn from my travels about other cultures and customs and I felt that this tour was an important and a valuable learning experience. Also the food and drinks that you get at these local bars were absolutely delicious. A truly unforgettable experience!

5.00What a great experience, there was 3 of us (husband and daughter) and our guide Tetsu was so good. He took us to the best little back alley places that we would not have found ourselves or been invited to. The food was excellent as was the drinks. We enjoyed great conversations with the locals . We would highly recommend Tetsu he had lots of insights into Japanese culture
