We'll visit the market to see the varieties of fish and seafood on offer, and we'll buy our ingredients, giving you the opportunity to ask the vendors questions. Back in the kitchen, we'll get organised and start cooking together. We'll sit at the table and indulge our appetites, accompanied by regional wines and beers. David and Ana are very welcoming, and my daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our cooking experience. We loved visiting the market, making delicious dishes that we had not tried before, and meeting like-minded, friendly people.

A beautifully authentic experience from beginning to end! David is an absolute delight, and gave us a thorough tour of the best market I’ve been to in memory. The freshness of the seafood and veg helped to make the culinary experience a delicious one. Can’t wait to come back for another taste!

The Food Market Shopping and Cooking Workshop in A Coruna with David is one of the best experiences I have had. My friend and I joined another couple for this class. David spoke both Spanish and English perfectly and kept all of us in the group engaged. The market tour was beautiful and we appreciated David's explanations. David and his wife have set up a wonderful space for cooking and sharing experiences (and a little wine!) We 4 had so much fun making the delicious food that David guided us through preparing. We enjoyed every bite and every minute of the experience. David shared recipes at the end of the workshop so that we could try to replicate the menu at home. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

We enjoyed an incredible experience with two other couples. David was fun and very knowledgeable on both Galician history & food. Our visit together to the food market was cool. And then we all enjoyed cooking an amazing Paella and other treats. It was a great value that we recommend highly.

Fun time shopping at the local market, then cooking a wonderful meal. Ours was seafood based, which we loved. Max of 8 people so hands on. Food was excellent and David was an informative and enjoyable host.

David was a wonderful host. The trip to the market was great. You don't need any cooking experience to fully enjoy this experience! Very nicely done, great food, great wine, and superb company! We highly recommend it! (Laura, Louisa, y Susana)

We had an amazing time at Pencil & Fork. We started by visiting a very large fresh seafood market (with meats, cheeses, olive oil, and vegetables) on the upper floors. Then, we returned to Pencil & Fork to cook all the fresh ingredients we had just purchased. Unlike other cooking classes I've taken, we actually participated in the cooking, learning as we prepared fabulous, traditional Spanish dishes. Then, we sat and enjoyed these very tasty dishes as a group. We had a great time, and I can't wait to try the recipes at home. I highly, highly recommend this tour.

Brilliant experience. We went around the market buying food and seeing all the different fish. Then a very relaxed cooking session - no experience needed - aided with a couple of glasses of wine. We ate as we cooked, and then finished up with paella and almond cake around the table. Very enjoyable and would highly recommend.

We absolutely loved David’s Galician cooking workshop. I booked it as a birthday present for my husband and we spent the best morning discovering local produce in the market and then cooking a Spanish feast. It was such a memorable experience and we would recommend it to everyone! Gracias David :)
