What To Expect
Wyspa Spichrzow
Granary Island is a historic part of Gdańsk, once filled with grain warehouses that reflected the city's wealth. Today, after revitalization, it blends modern architecture with historical heritage, featuring hotels, restaurants, and stunning views of the Motława River. This is where our first stop will be, as we visit a traditional milk bar where we will start taste two classic Polish dishes.
Gdansk Dluga Street
Długa Street is one of Gdańsk’s most iconic streets, lined with historic townhouses and bustling with life all year round. Nearby, we will visit next restaurant serving traditional Polish cuisine and there we will try next 3 dishes

5.00We had a wonderful evening with Mariana- she told us many interesting and historical stories and facts about Danzig while she took us to really nice places to taste fantastic polish foods and taught us how to drink vodka the right way. Every spot was perfect. We have participated in many food tours all over the world and this was one of our best tours also thanks to Mariana we had a wonderful evening here in Gdańsk.

5.00We sampled numerous foods in full sized portions that my husband and I split. Sometimes we had our own individual portion. We went to 4 places and sampled several entrees, a snack, and a dessert. We also had 2 non-alcoholic drinks and 2 alcoholic drinks. We learned how other countries influenced the local cuisine and we also had a bit of history about the city and the country thrown in.

4.00I’m torn writing this review. The food was mediocre. At one location, we were only given a shot of vodka to sip (and some bread) which is fine but some water to wash it down with would have been nice. The guide was super nice and knowledgeable despite being Ukrainian and only living in Poland for 10 years. And I did not appreciate her outfit choice - I think there are more professional clothing decisions that she could have made. I wouldn’t discourage anyone from taking this tour, but we have had some better food tours for sure. We were not hungry when it was over so that’s a plus.

5.00This was such a fantastic food tour, Mariana is an amazing guide, friendly, engaging and so knowledgeable. Food was delicious and lots of it (come hungry!) but also interspersed with the history of the food and Gdansk, highly recommend this tour with Mariana!

5.00The food tasting was such a fun and delicious experience! I got to try some traditional Polish dishes like gołąbki and pierogi — everything was super tasty and felt really authentic. Our guide, Olia, was amazing! She not only explained the stories behind the food but also gave us so many great recommendations on where to eat and what to explore next. It felt like hanging out with a local friend who knows all the best spots. Highly recommend this tour if you want to eat well and learn more about Polish culture!
