This 3-hour food excursion of Nafplio takes you to carefully selected food shops, where you taste some of the finest cheeses, wines, coffee and ice cream available in the city.
At the same time we visit the most famous monuments of the city, such as the Catholic Church, the square of St. Spyridon, the square of Saint George and the Old City which introduce us to the long and wonderful history of the city.

What To Expect
Land Gate
We pick you up from our meeting point and we begin our excursion with a tour in the picturesque alleys of Nafplio with its neoclassical mansions and Venetian balconies.
Nafplio
Our first tasting stop is a traditional grocery store where we taste local varieties of cheese and sausage and we learn their little manufacturing secrets by the grocer.

5.00We had the absolute pleasure of taking a food tour in Nafplio with Sofia, and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Greece. From the moment we met her, Sofia exuded warmth and authenticity. She wasn’t just guiding us—she was sharing her town, her stories, and a piece of herself. What made this tour so memorable was how personal it felt. Sofia didn’t recite a script. She told us stories about the city’s history, its food traditions, and even her own bees—which we loved hearing about! Her passion for the town and its culture was palpable, and it never once felt like she was doing a job. It truly felt like she was showing us the places she loves most. The church was an excellent detour. We visited three food stops, each one excellent. The absolute standout was Charlie’s Bakery. The focaccia was perfectly baked, the cheesecake was divine, and there was an egg dish so delicious I’m going back for breakfast tomorrow. This tour was more than just a food experience—it was a genuine way to connect with the soul of Nafplio. If you want to understand the people and spirit of Greece in a meaningful way, this tour is an absolute must. Thank you, Sofia, for making our time in Nafplio unforgettable.

5.00My family did a food tour combined with a tour of Palamidi Castle, and then time at the beach. Sophia was our tour guide and was awesome! She went the extra mile, kept us on time and ordered some delicious authentic Greek dishes for us. We cannot wait to try to make them when we get home! We then had a fine cheese tasting at a local shop, followed by an educational tasting of local wines with a local shop - all guides and stores spoke great English and all were very nice. The driver George was on time and friendly too. Door to door service was first class all the way! We highly recommend doing this with friends or family.

5.00Sofía was an excellent guide. She went out of her way to help us find a place to watch the French Open men’s final & also gave us great restaurant recommendations. And all of the 4 food/wine stops had really good food/wine & very interesting & knowledgeable people. This is the 2nd year in a row I have done this tour (last year with Maria) & if I get back to Nafplio, I will do it again!
