Get to know the culture and history of what we eat, while you taste traditional dishes, accompanied by fun and insightful stories, on a tour led by a professional local guide. On our Food Walk, you will get immersed in the local culinary atmosphere, both old and new. You will also get to interact with locals and get to know them a bit better. Reserve a spot for our Food Walks every Friday and Saturday starting from 10 o’clock at the Unification Square and be our guest!
If you would like to join us, please reserve your spot in advance!

5.00We had a fantastic morning, Iliya was a knowledgeable and funny guide who shared so much interesting information about the local culture and history. The variety of food tasted was excellent and we learnt so much about Bulgaria in a fun and relaxing format. Highly recommend this tour, it was excellent value for money and a wonderful way to enjoy our morning. This was family friendly for our 5 year old who tasted so many delicious treats along with us. Thank you, Iliya for making our start to Plovdiv so wonderful!

5.00This particular food tour was not only interesting… It was a lot of fun! Our tour guide Daniel taught us a lot about the history of Bulgaria and its culture. The food was amazing! Each stop allowed us to try a different Bulgarian delicacy. We definitely would recommend this tour!

5.00This gave us a taste of Bulgarian food we would never have had from the local shops we could not order from. They provided everything! This was one of the great highlights of our trip. The tour guides were amazing, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. And so nice to the kids too. It was a great experience for a family.

5.00Daniel was an entertaining and knowledgeable guide for this tour. Got to taste all sorts of Bulgarian treats while learning about culture and history. Stops included local market, pastry shops, tea shop. Would highly recommend this tour!

5.00I had the pleasure of doing the walking tour recently. Iliya was a fantastic guide; very knowledge, very friendly and easy to get along with. The tour itself was great with many interesting stops and tasty food along the way. Iliya's knowledge of Bulgarian culture made it all the more interesting. Would strongly recommend to do this tour when visiting Plovdiv.

5.00This has to be the most lip-smacking, interesting and fun way to discover Plovdiv. Daniel and Iliya were incredibly informative and just top blokes !! We played games to earn Lievs which we then used to shop in the green market, we drank incredible Tea from Plovdiv’s Harry Potter of Tea, we ate Bulgarian donuts, sausage, dips finishing with incredible Bulgarian Honey. The best recommendation i can make is that we didn’t want the tour to end !! Plovdiv Food Tour Rocks !!!

5.00Daniel and Iliya's food and culture tour was relaxed, engaging and fun. We started at a food market where we learnt about some of the history of Plovdiv and Bulgaria, and played a game to help us learn some of the language. This was a great ice breaker and a chance to meet some of the local people. We then visited multiple stops around Plovdiv over the course of a few hours to try different foods and drinks. Both guides shared stories about their regions and childhoods to contextualise the food we were trying. The tour was a great way to learn more about the city and its people. We would recommend (but don't eat breakfast!)
