Get to know the culture and history of what we eat, while you taste traditional dishes, accompanied by fun and insightful stories, on a tour led by a professional local guide. On our Food Walk, you will get immersed in the local culinary atmosphere, both old and new. You will also get to interact with locals and get to know them a bit better. Reserve a spot for our Food Walks every Friday and Saturday starting from 10 o’clock at the Unification Square and be our guest!

If you would like to join us, please reserve your spot in advance!

Our tour guide Ilya was very knowledgeable about the local area and gave us excellent insights on Plovdiv. The food along all of the stops was fantastic. Would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Plovdiv!

This gave us a taste of Bulgarian food we would never have had from the local shops we could not order from. They provided everything! This was one of the great highlights of our trip. The tour guides were amazing, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. And so nice to the kids too. It was a great experience for a family.

Daniel was an entertaining and knowledgeable guide for this tour. Got to taste all sorts of Bulgarian treats while learning about culture and history. Stops included local market, pastry shops, tea shop. Would highly recommend this tour!

I had the pleasure of doing the walking tour recently. Iliya was a fantastic guide; very knowledge, very friendly and easy to get along with. The tour itself was great with many interesting stops and tasty food along the way. Iliya's knowledge of Bulgarian culture made it all the more interesting. Would strongly recommend to do this tour when visiting Plovdiv.

This has to be the most lip-smacking, interesting and fun way to discover Plovdiv. Daniel and Iliya were incredibly informative and just top blokes !! We played games to earn Lievs which we then used to shop in the green market, we drank incredible Tea from Plovdiv’s Harry Potter of Tea, we ate Bulgarian donuts, sausage, dips finishing with incredible Bulgarian Honey. The best recommendation i can make is that we didn’t want the tour to end !! Plovdiv Food Tour Rocks !!!

Interesting dive into Bulgarian food and culture. The two tour guides were kind and easygoing. Very fun activity in the local market, good food and interesting stories. What else can you ask for? :)

Daniel and Iliya's food and culture tour was relaxed, engaging and fun. We started at a food market where we learnt about some of the history of Plovdiv and Bulgaria, and played a game to help us learn some of the language. This was a great ice breaker and a chance to meet some of the local people. We then visited multiple stops around Plovdiv over the course of a few hours to try different foods and drinks. Both guides shared stories about their regions and childhoods to contextualise the food we were trying. The tour was a great way to learn more about the city and its people. We would recommend (but don't eat breakfast!)

We were very lucky that we were able to do a private tour with Daniel. At the beginning we learned a few Bulgarian words, which was a lot of fun. Daniel was always attentive to our needs and everything was optional, but not a must. We learned about a wide variety of Bulgarian delicacies, so that we tried one or two of them again during our vacation. We brought some of the delicious tea home with us for our son and he also enjoyed it VERY much! Since Daniel is an English teacher, he naturally conducted the tour in perfect English. We spent a few lovely hours and it felt like we were traveling with a friend. Thank you for the few great hours 😊. We can only recommend it to ANYONE who wants to immerse themselves in typical Bulgarian life.

Having taken a few food tours this one is the best. The variety and amount of food is exceptional. The tour ranged from food markets, bakeries, to restaurants with incredible views and great food as well as walking around Plovdiv. Good value tour.
