You will then land on the snowfields up on one of the glaciers which is a huge highlight and will make for superb photos, snowballs and memories, before heading back down to Franz Josef Township

We fly all year round, weather permitting. Please note: On Christmas, we only operate for half the day (9 am - 12 pm).

Amazing experience. Very kind staff attending us. Very clear and easy way to book and check in. Take off from Franz Josef up to Franz Josef Glacier with landing. Then another 20 minutes of an incredible flight with explanations from the pilot. I could not stop smiling the rest of the day. Worth every penny!!

A massive thank you to The Helicopter Line & Glacier Helicopters West Coast for going above and beyond to reschedule us around the weather so we could tick this off our bucket list in our final hours at Franz Josef. The booking process from start to finish was seamless, and the team were incredibly responsive and helpful throughout. What an unforgettable experience. Easily one of the highlights of our trip and truly a once-in-a-lifetime moment. Would highly recommend to anyone. Worth every cent!

We booked a flight up and over the glacier and mountain range. After checking in and being weighed we were on our way. The weather was magical. Climbing up and landing between the peaks on pristine snow. Breathtaking. Continuing up and along the glaciers seeing the way it has gouged out the valleys. Your pilot talking to you and explaining the lay of the land as we go. Make sure you have your camera. Try and book the earliest flights to get the rising sun over the peaks and fresh snow.
