Bait and Switch - the trip is to Rainbow Reef, but they keep advertising it as Peterson Cay, which they say has been destroyed by hurricane. Rainbow Reef is huge, but lots of dead coral and not many fish. I saw more fish out in front of the resort in the swimming area. Never again.

It was CANCELED as we were given our equipment, due to a mechanical issue. Since the excursion included the Wyndham hotel pass, we made the best of it by borrowing snorkel equipment from the hotel and swimming out to the reef just off the beach burger bar. We also enjoyed the pool with live entertainment, complimentary alcohol and medicre buffet. If we actually get our money refunded, the nice day at the resort will have been well worth the $80 round trip cab ride from the Margaritaville cruise ship.

Wonderful day at the Wyndam. Food and drinks, pool and ocean were all great. Snorkeling staff were excellent. Colorful fish and a variety of coral.

Great trip, crew was professional in every manner. We diverted to Rainbow Reef, plenty of great fish, great structure to the reef. It was a little rough that day but very doable. Some of the best snorkeling I have ever done.

Located at our hotel we stayed at, went by to confirm and they acted like they did not know a day or time or that was booked. Then they were nice and let us go a day before, we went in several times and they said nope your good then right before going the front desk argued with me and was saying they could not tell that it was prepaid and kept asking me for more proof even with the voucher I had from Viator and the screenshots I had taken of the receipts, they did not agree with what I paid online for it. Then I had to pay more at the desk because they said Viator did not charge me for everything even though voucher said paid in full. They wanted me to look it up and in their country to internet does not work the greatest. Then a man became out of breathe screamed for help more than 5 times Captain said lay on your back, he started to panic and was starting to bob in water, Captain still saying lay on back he had on no life jacket, so that really wouldn't help in deep ocean water, he screamed again, my husband had to grab a life jacket dive in and put the man on the jacket and swim him in and pull him into the boat without help. The man went around the hotel telling everyone that my husband saved his life. There was very little to bo customer service. I have never been to a place like this. Do not recommend Viva Wyndham Fortuna resort or any tours from this place or Nexus located inside hotel.

After a long trip from the West Coast to beautiful Viva Wyndham Resort, we found the dive shop right there - I was so happy that although tired and planning to rest the first day after arrival, we arranged for my son's dive experience the following day. It was so easy and the shop owner and manager were very kind and helpful. I immediately felt like we were on vacation! Looking forward to the next day, no running around finding a dive shop, awesome personnel and good deals. I had a fun snorkeling experience, while my 14 year old, River Miles, who has scuba experience, got to make his first ever tropical waters dive in the Carribean. Thanks Michael and Dominique!

The trip is well organized and the staff is very kind and knowledgeable especially about the Peterson Cay protected area where we were wracked with beautiful photos. “We did better snorkeling” in much more interesting and better populated places, on the other hand the beautiful beach as in all the Bahamas and the discreet lunch.
