We did not know that wineries were so close to Austin. Fun excursion for trying Texas wine and BBQ. And we had a great driver and tour guide. Save eating before you go - so you can have more BBQ and sides!

We took the tour this weekend with Ike. He was a fabulous tour guide, remembered all of our names and even included a fun playlist of songs on our way back to town. The wineries were great. We got to taste many options. We made new friends on the trip and even hung out with them afterwards overall you’re looking for a fun time book this tour.

Shared this experience with three of my girlfriends of 35 years. We loved our tour guide/driver Jax. She was able to engage with everyone in the van, bring the other groups together in the van and give us enough space to engage with our individual groups. The tour stops were perfectly spaced out. Not too much driving. The bbq food was amazing and great idea to put food in our belly before the tastings. Wine was great, but the views and getting out of the city to have a see some of the Texas landscape was refreshing. Views from the wineries were lovely and relaxing. We felt like we were living our best life. The Dutchman Family winery was our friend groups favorite for their generous pours, concise informative history on each wine, and variety of the tastings.

We stopped at The Salt Lick and 2 wineries. All 3 were excellent! Excellent food and wine! A nice drive! Stayed at each place for almost an hour. Just enough time at each. David was our driver. He was excellent! Gave us a lot of information about all 3 places and answered all our questions! He was delightful! Would highly recommend this tour!!! Worth every penny! Very reasonably priced!

Awesome way to experience an age old tradition of Texas BBQ, learn about the wineries of Texas (which surprisingly they have many) and travel to the Hills! Wonderful experience and so fun! If you happen to be lucky enough to have Evan Ford as your tour guide you hit GOLD! He is amazing and makes the experience 5 star! You enter his van as a group of strangers and leave all as friends and Evan is a huge part of making that happen. He also has a ton of mad knowledge about Texas and Austin history! And is so witty an funny that your cheeks will hurt from laughing for 4.5 hours! Awesome way to spend your day!

Fun tour stopping at famous Salt Lick BBQ and 2 local vineyards. Joey our guide was so personable and was able to facilitate meeting other couples in the tour van. Enjoyed all the conversation and meeting people from all over the world and country. I am a vegetarian, so I knew there was limited items at Salt Lick - but had good Mac and cheese and potatoes that had a curry flavor. My husband loved the brisket and ribs. Beautiful little garden attached to Salt Lick - I saw some bumble bees foraging in the flowers. Then onto 2 local vineyards which used grapes from Texas. The climate allows your typical grapes to be grown- Merlot, Cabernet, Pinot noir and Gris. Nice that you can choose tasting or just a glass of wine.
