Park and National Palace of Pena
Perched atop the Sintra Mountains, Pena Palace is one of Portugal’s most iconic and romantic landmarks. This colorful 19th-century palace is a masterpiece of Romanticism, combining Gothic, Manueline, Moorish, and Renaissance architectural styles in a truly unique and whimsical design. Commissioned by King Ferdinand II, the palace was built on the ruins of a former monastery and completed in 1854. It served as a royal summer residence and reflects the king’s artistic vision and passion for nature and architecture. Surrounded by the lush Pena Park, a vast forested area with exotic trees, hidden paths, and stunning viewpoints, the palace offers breathtaking panoramas of the surrounding region — and even the Atlantic Ocean on clear days. Can be one of the Palaces included on the Tour, depending on availability

Ricardo communicated wonderfully with us before the trip to book our lunch reservation and coordinate our time for meeting. He drove us to must see Sintra and booked our tickets to Quinta da Regaleira in advance. He planned an early arrival in Sintra to beat the crowds so we were able to visit the National Palace in addition to shopping in town before our timed tickets. He surprised us with delicious local pastries once we were back in the car. Once we were done in Sintra he drove us around lovely Colores to see amazing Atlantic Ocean views and treated us to a yummy Chorizo roll from a local shop before taking us to visit a charming winery where we purchased interesting and affordable bottles to ship home to the US. Our lunch at beachfront Guincho (coordinated by Ricardo) was delicious with great service and a gorgeous view! Our final stop was at must see Cabo da Roca and we drove home along Cascais to see the cute town and marina area. Ricardo took many pictures for us which was a very nice touch since we usually just take selfies. He was a warm and friendly guide who we highly recommend for a relaxing and lovely day!

My daughter and I booked a tour the day before and had a wonderful time! Ricardo was the perfect guide. We never felt rushed and he was very informative. We were picked up in Cascais and spent the day in Sintra. Ricardo would check in periodically to see if we needed anything. We toured the National Palace of Sintra and Quinta da Regaleira. We lunched on the beach and stopped at Cabo da Rosa for pictures. After deciding to skip the wine tasting portion due to being worn out, Ricardo surprised us with a bottle of wine when we were dropped off. Highly recommend!

This place is like a fairytale! Again, Ricardo outdid himself showing us the beauty of Portugal. The palace, the shops, the restaurants and winery, were more than we could have imagined. We cannot wait to return.

Great tour with an excellent tour guide who be very attention person to the details and care of the people involve, what should be a "simple" tour around Sintra become a really true new and cherish experience. The 1st "stop" was in Sintra to visit the city and the palaces around, definitely the most beautiful was Pena Palace with all the envolvente story and detail described by Mr. Ricardo, still in Sintra the next stop was at Regaleira Farm, one of the coolest park located at old Sintra Town, the Palace inside with like a mix architectonic of 16th century renaissance-style with mediaeval-style, the gardens was something else, thanks we stop by. The next two stops was in Azenhas do Mar and Cabo da Roca, two lovely place with an superb view over the ocean and the houses around (in Azenhas do Mar), the restaurant Mr. Ricardo choose to lunch was a really good choice with and excellent and tasty food. The experience not finished there once we visit the village called Colares and have the opportunity to drop in a Colares Wine Cellar tasting the wine home made what was an incredible experience. Last but not least the pastry we have the opportunity to taste (and of course by some like the wine because was really good). All this was impossible to do or arranged by my self (related all the places and the time expended in which place, probably I was run out of time in the end of the day to visit all) if not provided by this company and I'm so glad to had made this choice and they've an excellent tour guide who respect ours needs, times and detailed all through the tour.
