The itinerary may vary from day to day depending on the opening of certain offices, depending on attendance. One building per category is guaranteed to be visited-1 Temple, 1 Market, 1 Shop, 1 Villa, 1 Thermal Plant, 1 Theater, and the Forum. The choice of buildings visited is determined from time to time by the guide based on attendance, waiting times in case of long lines, or opening hours of the buildings. - The tour includes a visit to a Cameo factory, the Cameo is a typical Roman-era jewel found during excavations at Herculaneum and Pompeii in 1748. In the factory you will be able to see a craftsman at work, the cameo is a piece of jewelry made from congeals and precious stones and is hand engraved by the craftsman. A visit to the factory will allow you to use the toilets free of charge before entering the excavations, so the stop at the Cameo Factory in addition to being informative is essential in terms of managing your visit to the Pompeii excavations.
The tour is confirmed in the chosen language if the group reaches 6 participants; if the group does not reach 6 participants, the guide will be replaced by an audioguide in the chosen language or your choice in an English-language guide.

Tour was good. I really liked Pompeii and the tour guide did a very good job. It took a few minutes to get used to his accent. The representative from the company that met us seemed frazzled and confused. The tour bus broke down right before we left to go back to the port. The company did get alternate transportation within a few minutes. Bottled water was listed as part of the tour, but we were never offered any. I specifically didn't bring my water because of this and it was very hot out. You need to watch out for your customers.

You should stay away from this tour. First off I will say that the guide himself was very good. The company organizing these tours however is not. I booked a tour that started at 2 PM along with my pickup point at the port. There was absolutely no mention of needing to be ready earlier prior to booking. This was very important because I was travelling from Rome that day and couldn't make it much earlier. They contacted me after the booking and told me I had to be at the pickup point at 1 PM. I told them this was going to be really hard and I could possibly make it for 1:30 PM. They then told me that they could not wait for that long and I would be marked as a no show with no refund. I then reiterated that the tour was from 2-6 and they said the tour started at 2 in Pompeii but pickup was earlier. This is also important because the entire tour from pickup to drop-off was four hours unlike the tour portion being four hours as they tried to state and defend their pickup time. I ended up being able to make the 1 PM pickup by rushing like crazy and participated in the tour. The tour is actually only two hours with commute time each way to make it four hours. If working with an honest tour company is important to you however you should stay away from this tour. They have no intention of keeping to their timeline and if you set a pickup time they will change it at their will and try to say you no showed if you miss it and attempt to keep your money. If anyone experiences this and ends up missing the tour and they won't provide a refund I would first try to go through Viator for a refund but if not then I would issue a chargeback with your credit card company as them starting earlier than the stated time causing you to miss the tour would be grounds for the charge to be reversed

Wow! Leo was an amazing tour guide. He provided not only history, but a book with pictures comparing the present with past presentation of the area. He went through each section of Pompeii and described the evolution of the inhabitants from initial to Greek to Roman. This was one of the best tours and tour guides! Highly recommend

We thoroughly enjoyed the trip to Pompeii. Our guide arrived late, so that created some very anxious moments, but the tour made up for it.

To start with the positive, our guide was great. Nice, friendly, good sense of humor and very knowledgeable. And Pompei was very interesting. The rest of the tour was awful. It started with receiving an email the night before stating that we had to go to a pick up stop about a mile away. When we responded that we had set it up for a pickup at our hotel. (There were 7 of us). They refused and told us it was “Only a short walk away”. The interesting thing was that morning three of their vans came and picked up people at our hotel. Clearly they could’ve honored their commitment and picked us up. When we arrived at the pick up spot the girl who checked us in was sullen and short. Then we waited (standing in the heat) for a full 15 minutes before walking to the other side of the building to get on the bus. Upon our return, the same sullen young lady wouldn’t even take us to our pick up spot that THEY designated. In fact, she dropped us in the middle of the street and we had to run to avoid being run over. When we asked to be dropped off at our hotel (as designated on our ticket) she said absolutely not.
