EXCURSION FROM SKOPJE: KOSOVO IN A DAY-PRISHTINA, MONASTERY & BEARS. We took the excursion to KOSOVO IN A DAY-PRISHTINA, MONASTERY & BEARS from Skopje and it was a very nice and enjoyable daily trip, although after the start we have experience a heavy traffic just outside Skopje and delays on the border. We have visited after 3 hours smooth drive (a) the capital of Kosovo (Mother Tereza Cathedral, National Library of Kosovo, etc) , after that (b) the Serbian Orthodox Monastery of Gracanica (Unesco heritage) and (c) the Bears Sanctuary on our way back to Skopje. The driver was experienced, careful, driving smoothly, and although it was a long trip we enjoyed the day very much. Our tour guide Naser, was really excellent, explaining everything on our tour, was patient with us, friendly, knowledgable with profound understanding of historical facts (explaining the past like a teacher with contagiousness) and also passionate and highly motivated. We have enjoyed the tour very much (especially because of the outstanding tour guide Naser) and certainly suggest it for those wishing to get a glimpse on the turbulent Balkan area and its people

Beautiful tour organized very well. First stop at the bear sanctuary, we were lucky enough to see 4 that had already come out of hibernation. Then to the fantastic monastery of Grazanica: the frescoes are very beautiful and well maintained and finally to Pristina with lunch break. Our guide Naser was very good and explained everything very well.

It was a very interesting trip where we found out different information about Kosovo. Christian was our guide and he gave us useful insight. The drive to Pristina is not long and also with beautiful scenery. The bear sanctuary was closed so instead we stopped at Gadime Cave which was nice. We had enough time to explore Pristina by ourselves after Christian showed us some sites. Before 5pm we were back at Skopje. Have some cash (euros) with you to pay for entrance fee at the different locations you gonna visit and other than that Enjoy it!

Tour was timed out perfectly with sufficient free time. Caves and Monastery were very interesting. Not a lot to do in Prishtina but just the right amount of free time and a great restaurant that we all ate at. Our guide Christian did a great job explaining and answering all of our questions about North Macedonia and Kosovo. He was very knowledgeable about history, religion, and art. Thank you Christian!

Christian is a wonderful guide and driver. We learned so much on this tour. He shared Macedonian history and was so knowledgeable about Kosovo. Mother Theresa Cathedral, the National Library and the Gračanica Monastery were a pleasure to visit. The Gadime Cave was also very enjoyable. The stop at Etno Shpia for lunch was outstanding! Some of the best food I have ever eaten in my whole life!

What an amazing day from start to finish! There were only 2 of us on the tour along with our guide, Stefan, which made it so personal and gave us the best experience! Stefan was so knowledgeable about the history of the countries and also gave us his own personal accounts to make it more authentic. Thoroughly enjoyed this full day trip chatting and getting to know Stefan and the other solo traveller. The stops along the way were so fun as well and was incredible getting to learn so much about Kosovo and the other Balkan countries. We also got to see two bears in the sanctuary who thankfully weren't sleeping being December! Thank you so much for a day to remember!
