What To Expect
Chinchero
At the Textile Interpretation Center, you will immerse yourself in the fascinating world of traditional craftsmanship, learning about the ancient techniques of spinning, weaving, and dyeing natural fibers, such as the luxurious alpaca wool. Skilled local artisans will demonstrate the intricate process of textile production, using natural plant-based dyes passed down through generations. You will have the opportunity to appreciate their expertise up close and, if you wish, purchase one-of-a-kind textile products that showcase the region’s rich cultural heritage.
Complejo Arqueologico Chinchero
We will explore the remains of Tupac Inka Yupanqui's resting palace, now functioning as a colonial temple, offering insight into the context of the Colonial Inquisition. At the archaeological site, we will also see impressive Inca agricultural terraces, water systems, and structures that showcase the advanced engineering of the time, along with remnants of colonial architecture that were added during the colonization.

5.00A great experience, our tour guide Mihai was knowledgeable and very attentive. We visited many different places and the buffet lunch was excellent. Slightly more expensive than other tours but I really enjoyed the day.

5.00This was the best day of o trip (after visiting achu Picchu) and it was because of Mihai and Rodrigo. Mihai planned the best day. It was packed but never felt exhausting. Instead each stop was its own unique experience. We had time to enjoy and were never rushed. We saw the textile demonstration, the Incan ruins in Chinchero, the Maras salt mines, Moray, Ollantaytambo to hike to the top of the Temple del Sol and eat lunch. In between we saw the incredible scenery of the sacred valley. Without a doubt, Mihai is the best guide I ever seen. He knowledge is incredible and he shares it in a relatable and interesting way. Plus he is so kind and curious. At the end of the tour we felt that not only had we seen and learned so much, but we made a new friend. We highly recommend this tour if you have a day to explore the Sacred Valley from either Cusco or Urubamba. You will not be disappointed.

Mihia took my friends and me to some truly lovely places and shared a lot of insightful information about the history and culture of the area. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional throughout the tour, and everything ran smoothly. I would definitely take other tours with him when I return to the Cusco/Sacred Valley area. Highly recommended!
