What To Expect
We depart from Tirana towards Durrës, one of the most beautiful coastal cities in Albania, rich in history and a vibrant atmosphere. After about an hour’s drive, we arrive in this ancient city and begin our exploration with a visit to the Royal Villa of King Zog. Perched on a hill with a stunning view of the Adriatic Sea, this royal residence offers us a glimpse into the reign of King Zog and the history of the villa. Although now abandoned following the events of 1997, it remains a symbol of Albania’s regal past.
Descending on foot, we visit one of the city's ancient towers, a restored structure that serves as a panoramic balcony offering a breathtaking 360° view of Durrës and the sea. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the fortifications that once protected this strategic port city.

3.00Today’s highlight was a wonderful visit to Durrës, one of the oldest seaside cities in Albania, combined with stunning viewpoints and a very relaxing atmosphere. The itinerary was perfectly balanced: • Royal Villa on top of the hill with breathtaking panoramic sea views • Gunpowder Viewpoint, absolutely beautiful • A pleasant walking tour, visiting the area outside the Durrës Amphitheater and the Venetian Tower • A relaxing walk along the Vollga Promenade • Free time for lunch, beach, and relaxation Our tour guide, Ervin, was exceptional. Very polite, friendly, and genuinely helpful, he did his best to make everyone feel comfortable and informed throughout the day. You can really tell he cares about what he does. The group was small (only 5 people), which made the experience even better, and the mini bus was comfortable and convenient. Everything felt well-organized, calm, and enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to explore history, enjoy sea views, and spend a beautiful, stress-free day in Durrës. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

4.00Really nice city but make sure you check your destinations are open. Not a big deal but history sites are closed Monday so plan accordingly. Also the train station is non existent, there is absolutely no train at all. Other than that if they cleared the beggars from the beach it could be world class.
