It was my first time visiting Philippines Dumaguete City with my girlfriend and we wanted to visit one of the islands since we've read about how great Apo Island was. We decided to choose a trip on TripAdvisor with good reviews. Here are our experience: - We had a pick-up at the hotel with a private vehicle and also drop-off at the meeting location which was nice but the driver came 30 minutes earlier than we were told. Tata, our tour organizer, told us the pick-up was at 6:30am. - We arrived at the meeting location (port) way too early. We onboared on the 30 people boat but we had to wait until other guests arrived. I know Ronald told us we were lucky to be on a bigger ship since it was only 2 of us but the wait was quite long (2 hours). - Everything was good at the Apo Island. Our private guide watched our stuff while we were away so it won't get stolen and he gave us a tour at the island. I just wished he could given us a clear schedule for the day and how long we could go about. - On the way back to the port, the boat made a stop to do some diving with other guests. We had to watch other guests dive and wait about an hour and a half before we departed back to Dumaguete. Overall, our tour guide and Ronald was helpful. They were nice but I believe there could be some improvements given the price of the tour.

Absolutely a fantastic experience visiting Apo Island. The staff/tour guides we met were very friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. Tour of the island village was a fantastic touch after our initial swim and lunch. The only reason for not giving full marks was the delayed commication/confirmation of the pickup details from our airbnb, and we wish we knew how much cash to bring so we could have hired a GoPro while swimming with the sea turtles (we only brought enough for gratuities). Saying this, we definitely plan to visit again with family in the future.

APO island tours took exceptional care of me and my family. They were friendly, warm and caring. They provided great lunch and a once in a lifetime experience not to be forgotten. I will definitely recommend to friends back in the USA!

Wonderful tour! Our boat crew and snorkel guide were fabulous- friendly, informative, and ensured both a safe trip and snorkelling experience. Big shout out to Bob our snorkel guide who had an eye for spotting sea turtles, eels, giant clams, etc for us to get closer to and would take pictures of us underwater with my camera. Yummy lunch as well. Highly recommend this eco-friendly experience!
