What To Expect
Lan Ha Bay
8:00-9.30: Board our beautiful boat and cruise north around Lan Ha Bay. The boat takes us through the Cai Beo fishing village. Continue to visit hundreds of small islands then continue north with a variety of shapes such as candles, toads, seals. There are hundreds of small sandy beaches on Lan Ha Bay which we will see on the way. The boat stopping at the center of Lan Ha bay, jump on the water to swim to a desert island to discover a hidden jungle where there are many smooth sand beaches.
Lan Ha Bay
10:00-10:30: We then continue north where you will see beautiful landscapes protected by UNESCO's as a world heritage site and if you look at a 200k note you will see something very familiar.

1.00This tour is NOT the one described. After lunch they took us on a completely different tour. The staff was exceptional but tour operators are very unprofessional and unprepared.

5.00That day was really beautiful. We met very few other boats in this bay of Lan Ha thanks to a well-studied course. Regarding kayaking, the guide took us on a tour with varied landscapes. Lunch was very hearty and succulent. Also note the size of the boat very human compared to the others we met.
The boat trip is fun, the organizer a drama!

3.00When booking the trip through the TripAdvisor app, we had to enter which accommodation we were in. Our accommodation was not listed. You have to indicate later in the booking where you are staying because of pick-up and drop-off. They also indicate that if you stay near the port, you can be picked up. Now near the port is a broad concept. What is around for one person is not for another. Our stay was a 15 minute drive from the port. We were told on the morning of the trip via WhatsApp that they will not pick us up because we are staying too far from the port. And that we had to be at the port by our own transport at 8 am. If you assume that you will be picked up at 8 am and then suddenly have to be somewhere at 8 am, that will no longer work with the planning. We have done our utmost to arrange transport at the last minute and to be on time. They just call and text where we left off. Finally we were at the port at 8.20 am. And you guessed it...sitting there for half an hour waiting before we could get on the boat. The boat trip itself was fun. When we were there, there was nothing to see with snorkeling. Kayaking and lunch totally fine. What does stand out is the amount of waste in the water where you swim, sail and kayak.

5.00A brilliant day cruising around Cat Ba, Ha Long Bay and Lan Ha. Our tour guide, Joe, was great and a lot of fun too. He took us to all the best spots, away from the crowds to really take in the scenery. Food was great, nice boat, brilliant Kayaking route, and good people. All round a great day! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
