Chris was a fantastic driver and guide who made us feel safe and comfortable. He was very friendly and happy to chat with us but also didn't mind when we just wanted to sit quietly and look out the window (we are introverts and I was nervous about not being talkative enough, but it was no problem at all). Everything about the trip was good and nice, but I have to talk about the food at Top Rock. It was AMAZING! I think anything you order will be delicious but a special mention to the chicken and mushrooms with rice.

Our guide Moses gave us an in-depth understanding of the island from its inception to the present time. He brought it all to life. Plus he had a great sense of humor and truly took care of all our needs. We swam , we ate, we visited the tribal cultural village which was wonderful. I would say it was one of the best tours we’ve taken in a long time…Thank you Moses❤️

Our tour guide Moses was awesome! He drove us all over the island imparting information about Vauautu. The cultual village was super interesting and entertaing with firewaling and music. It was nice to float in the Blue Lagoon watching people rope swing into the water. Our fresly caught red snapper lunch was sooo yummy. We did a little swimming at Survivor beach and found a blue starfish. The hot springs were full of storm debris, so we skipped that stop and opted out of the kava stop. Be aware if taking this tour, that the roads can be very bumpy. Thanks for a great tour!

This was a great tour. Our meeting instructions were clear and it was easy to find Yumi tours once we disembarked the tender boat. We visited the local village for an explanation of some of their customs and activities - all things they are trying to keep alive in the modern age. Then the wonderful blue lagoon where we swam In beautiful clear cool waters. Then it was the hot springs where we dangled our feet in one of the several pools of really quite hot water. Lunch was at a lovely spot overlooking the ocean where we enjoyed our fish and chips and cold drinks. Finally, we visited the coffee factory and Kava house and back to the ship with plenty of time. A really interesting and fun itinerary. Our guide, Alfred was excellent. He told us so much about the country and the way of life there. I would thoroughly recommend this tour for anyone visiting on a cruise ship.

Alfred and Julian from Yumi Tours We arrived by cruise ship and were tendered to the port about 5 minutes duration. The tour company were there to meet us. We set off promptly. We took the 6 hour round the island tour. It was so well organised and our guide Alfred was so professional and knowledgeable about everything Vanatu. Our excellent driver was Julian. The roads are really pretty good and the scenery is really nice. We were very lucky with the weather just a short splash of rain but it wasn’t too bad. Our itinerary included Pepeyo Cultural & Educational Tour Worth putting mozzie spray on here lots about. Having said that I’m always bitten but not on this island and I think it’s malaria free. Really interesting presentation by a wonderful multi talented person. Blue Lagoon Absolutely brilliant and so well organised. Each party parks and changes entering the pool from a different location. Sara Beach Top Rock Had a great lunch. WC was rather basic but you are not in an interconnected 1st world country. And all the more interesting for it. Nasinu Hot Springs Wow! Hot! The base of the pools can be slippery. Changing available along with shower. Tanna Coffee great coffee with demos of the entire process. The coffee is exported mainly to Australia and New Zealand The Kava House The end of our trip was celebrated with a bowl of Kava. It has its own unique taste and effect. I’m sure you’ll enjoy talking about the experience! The moment I met the guide I was reassured that we were in safe and considerate hands. Alfred explained why society in Vanatu rubs along so well. A belief in family and an expectation of a contribution from everyone is the norm. Absolutely no external fertiliser is required and all food totally organic. There are no fast food places anywhere on the island all sourced locally where possible. I’m jealous, the average life expectancy is 95! Fantastic!

Unfortunately our cruise wasn’t able to make this port due to bad weather so we had to cancel at the last minute (a couple of hours prior). Yumi replied to us immediately and gave us a full refund. Great communication, thank you.

We were off a cruise ship and there were about 10 in the van, which was very comfortable and had AC. We had guide Alfred, who was brilliant and gave us plenty of information and was very easy to understand. He was very proud of his country and their way of life and rightly so. The driver was Julian, who was very safe. We had a great day out and went right round the island on a full day tour and saw a variety of sites. We did swimming at the blue hole too and stopped at a view point for a very nice lunch. We were back in time for the tender to the ship. Thoroughly recommend.

We totally endorse and highly recommend this tour! We circled the island and had great fun in the Blue Lagoon. Seeing the fire walking and music and native dancing in the village was amazing and very informative. The locals were friendly and so welcoming. What made the tour extra special was our incredible guide Alfred who taught us many things in his great narration along the way. Such a variety! The village, swimming in Blue Lagoon, soaking in the hot spring, a great lunch at Top Rock with its beautiful vistas. And then experiencing drinking Kava was a perfect ending to the day. Hats off to this great company and staff! Just book it! You won’t be disappointed!
