Explore Glacier National Park's Wild and Scenic border river, the Middle Fork Flathead, with our highly trained, friendly, interpretive river guides. First, float a relaxing stretch of river. Next, your guide selects a secluded spot for a delicious, buffet style lunch. Our kitchen sources locally and organically whenever possible, and you’ll taste the difference!

After lunch, explore 9 named rapids - typically rated class II and III. Bonecrusher is always a favorite! This is a fun and splashy adventure through pristine, glacially fed waters. Finally, float beneath Glacier’s historic Old Belton Bridge. Your adventure ends in West Glacier with a 5 minute bus ride back to our campus.

Trips depart rain or shine. Trips meet at 9:15am, 9:45am departure. No experience necessary.

No maximum weight - must be able to buckle a 58" chest life jacket. Minimum age 5, minimum weight of 50 pounds. Minimums may be higher if river levels are higher, as they often are in the spring.

What To Expect

Middle Fork of the Flathead

You’ll raft along Glacier National Park's southwestern boundary, which is formed by the Wild and Scenic Middle Fork Flathead River. The trip winds through John F. Stevens Canyon, where the rapids are generally rated class II and III. This is a fun and splashy whitewater rafting adventure for families, couples, friends, and solo travelers!

Let me preface this by saying I am extremely afraid of bodies of water. I would not suggest this for people that have phobias unless you are trying to face your fears. It was a good time and I’m proud of myself. The rapids weren’t high when we went (thank God) so it was perfect for me. You will get wet. You will get splashed. You will get an adrenaline rush. All in all I would say it was worth it.

Our float with guide Amelia/Mia was fantastic. The views are stunning and she shared some fun history and knowledge of the area. I’ll recommend for sure! We did a partial afternoon float which was perfect
Overall great fun; a nice break from hiking when at Glacier NP. You could plan this activity in the middle of your week

We did the 1/2 day white water rafting with Luka. We had a great time. Water level was low (end of the summer and not much rainfall) but not much we could do about that. We did hit some class II rapids. Luka was a great guide. There was a lot of focus on safety (but not too much) but also on having fun. We saw a couple of eagles and enjoyed the trip down the river. There is probably more action in the spring versus the end of summer. Overall, very enjoyable an a nice break from hiking.

Best experience with this company and its guides. Nolan, Hunter and Zoe were knowledgeable and fun. Our group got to ride with Nolan who kept us laughing (and safe) the entire time. We were very appreciative of the lunch spread — above and beyond a picnic. We all agreed we ended our tour with the rafting bug. Thanks Nolan!

Class act company from the Lodge to the White Water Rafting trip. Oliver was our guide and what a bright wonderful young man. He greeted us with smiles and as much excitement as we had built up in advance of our trip. Highly recommended and you cannot go wrong with this company and great group of employees.

We had the most incredible experience white water rafting! Jesse made the day so much fun, his energy and passion for what he does were contagious. He kept the entire day fun, exciting, and safe. Jesse’s experience really showed, he guided us through every rapid with confidence and made sure we were comfortable the whole time. On top of that, his personality is fantastic: funny, patient, and so knowledgeable about the area. He turned an already thrilling activity into a truly memorable day. If you’re booking a white water rafting trip, ask for Jesse — you won’t regret it!

Our guides, Mia and Maura, CRUSHED IT! From paddling the rapids, to pausing to understand our surroundings, to swimming in gorgeous deep blue water, to viewing the train tracks and box car destroyed and pushed into the river (WHAA?!) from the 1964 flood...to eagles cruising overhead..and yah..an awesome lunch...Mia/Maura delivered an exceptional experience indeed! We'll be back with the family...Hoping Wilson and Chad will be there too! Thank you!

Paddling though rapids, pausing to understand our surroundings, swimming in gorgeous clear water, LUNCH!, seeing the unbelievable destruction from the 1964 storm which moved the train tracks and a box car (WHAA?) underwater...the day was phonemail.
