What To Expect
Thingvellir National Park
The first scheduled stop is right next to the tectonic plates that frame the Þingvellir National Park. Included in the UNESCO World Heritage, this site has a significant historical, geological and cultural significance. It was right here, in fact, that in 930 AD the Alþing: the first democratic parliament in the history of humanity took place. The tectonic fault that crosses the entire national park is also located right on the shores of the lake. Þingvallavatn which is also the largest lake in the nation. The time frame includes transportation.
Site de Geysir
The second stop on our journey will be in the Geysir geothermal area, located in the Haukardalur valley about an hour drive from Þingvellir. This area of fumaroles was formed about 10,000 years ago as a result of seismic events and tectonic movements, forming these eruptive cones from boiling water. Geysir is the name of the main cone of this area from which the generic name of geysers from all over the world derives. Although Geysir is currently dormant, in the same area, the geyser ”Strokkur“ erupts every 5-10 minutes on average. In this area, in addition to the Strokkur eruptions, you can sense the smell and see the colors of the crystallized minerals that mark the intense geothermal activity characteristic of the island.

5.00I would say that such an experience is worth doing, even for seafarers like us, the guys of Elysia just fantastic .Marco with the south coast of Vik and the Golden Circle has followed us patiently (he knows it) and educated us to perfection on every detail of these fantastic places ...Michele made us discover a Reykjavik that alone we would never have imagined , only regret is that we could not see the northern lights because of the climatic conditions, pretext, to return to see Silver Circle always with this young, organized and dynamic Elysia tour. Very good!

5.00I loved every moment of this trip, the differences in landscapes and colors at close ranges, even the cold and windy weather. I could not choose what is the most beautiful place I have seen because they are all unique and wonderful. Every single place visited was described in detail by Ilaria with love and passion. There were only two of us and the best thing was the surprise unscheduled!
