What To Expect

Li River

Take this Li River cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo which is the highlight of any trip to northeastern Guangxi Province. Gorgeous Karst peaks give you a surprise at every bend of the limpid river under the blue sky. Water buffaloes sprawl in the fields, peasants reap rice paddies, and school kids and fishermen float by on bamboo rafts. With its breathtaking scenery, life on the river is a taste of a life far from the bustling metropolis. Your day will begin with a pickup at 8:00 in the morning from your hotel in Guilin. From here, you will travel to Zhujiang pier, where you will board the cruise boat. The cruise lasts approximately 4 hours (from 9:30am to 13:30pm). During this time you will enjoy stunning scenery of the Li River.

Yangti Dyke

Yangdi Village is located on the west bank of the Li River, about 50km (31 miles) from Guilin, and 40km (25 miles) north of Yangshuo County. Behind the village lies a hill consisting of twin peaks, which look like two sheep hoofs hanging upside down. Hence the village gets its name Yangdi, which has a harmonic tone with 'Yangti', the Chinese expression for 'sheep hoofs'.

Astonishing views and mountain landscapes! Our tour guide Andy made it a more enjoyable and fabulous day! He is quite experienced and knowledgeable while has a wonderful personality and is very accommodating. Excellent private car as well! Strongly recommend him!

My driver Peter was fantastic, well informed and fun. He suggested an itineray taking into consideration my interests. Sailed the Li River admiring the odd shaped mountains, stopped to have coffee in a coffee-shop surrounded by rice fields, took the cable car to the Longji Rice Terraces with its stunning scenery. Took in a show by the Long Hair Yao people in Yangshuo. And more. A brilliant day spent with a fun guide. I would do this tour again in a heartbeat

This particular private tour suits for people who would like to take their time and enjoy the sights of this part of the country. We were not rushed. Liao, our tour guide was exceptional! We were able to have good conversations with him, his english is very clear and very knowledgeable in so many subjects. I would highly recommend Liao as your tour guide.

Our tour guide, Andy, made sure that this day tour was completely filled in according to our preferences. Besides Andy being a great and fun tour guide, he made sure that we saw the best places in the area. As he knew the area very well, he selected the go-to places carefully. In the evening he arranged that we could go to Cuiping hill to chase the sunset instead of another activity. He too all our preferences into account and forged a great tour out of it. Overall an amazing experience and a brief introduction to the beautiful area of Guilin.
