Itsukushima Shrine
A World Heritage site. Established in the 6th century, this shrine is one of Japan's finest, and is famous for its beautiful Shinden-zukuri style structure (architecture representative of a nobles' residence in the Heian period). The contrast of the green of Mt. Misen behind the lacquered shrine pavilion and the blue of the Seto Sea is beautiful and evocative of the underwater palace of Ryugujo.

Great tour. Lots of walking but there was no option. I personally would have preferred a bit less time at Miyajima and more time at the Peace Memorial Museum, but my wife says she thought it was just right.

We had such an enjoyable and educational time on our tour with Masa! She was an amazing guide and provided so much information and history about Hiroshima and Miyajima. The tour thru Peace Park and the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum was enlightening and very emotional. Masa provided stories that painted very vivid scenes and helped you understand exactly what the people of Hiroshima experienced. The stop at Miyajima Island was very fun as you got to see the deer and tour the beautiful shrine.

Great day, very well organized from the first minute until the last. Beautiful spiritual sites and especially a lot of emotions in front of the story of the infamous Hiroshima bomb 😪. And a big bravo to our guide Masa who knew how to transport me into history with his professionalism and his very great kindness 👍

Kay did a really nice job despite somewhat adverse weather conditions. The Peace Memorial Museum is a powerful experience, and a reminder that there is no place in this world for indiscriminate killing

Very enjoyable and informative tour. The only negative was the communications system was a little muffled. Kay was full of very interesting facts.
