iSimangaliso Wetland Park is a huge protected area along the coast of South Africa’s KwaZulu-Natal Province. The park’s centrepiece is the vast Lake St. Lucia, home to large numbers of hippos, crocodiles, pelicans and flamingos. Elephants, giraffes and leopards inhabit the grasslands and forests of the nearby Western Shores and Charters Creek areas.

What To Expect

iSimangaliso Wetland Park

We depart from Durban at 6am in the morning and head off to Isimangaliso Wetlands Park arriving at around 9am. On arrival we head off to the game reserve in St Lucia Isimangaliso Wetlands Park Dukuduku Gate where we go for a game drive. At the game drive there are good chances to see many different animals such as elephants, giraffes, kudu, antelope, impala, wildebeest, zebra and many many more at this vast game reserve. We also enjoy the sheer beauty of the game reserve, the many indigenous trees, the many types of birds, and so much more.

This is a beautiful tour Full Day Isimangaliso Wetlands & Boat Cruise Tour from Durban. The boat cruise was so nice as we went on the St Lucia Estuary. We saw a lot of hippos and some crocodiles. Our guide was able to give us a lot of information. Absolutely nice tour.
