Our local expert guide will make you experience the island’s natural beauty and scenery and be informed about island’s history and land.
The tour begins with the jewelry of the island that dates back to the 8th century: monastery of Hozoviotissa. We are warmly welcomed by the monks who offer traditional raki and loukoumi.
Our next stop is at Agios Georgios Valsamitis, a church used to be one of the well-known oracles of ancient Greece.
Upon moving on to the south part of the island, we are going to discuss and drink coffee in the shadow of a nice restaurant. Discover the well-preserved ancient Agia Triada (the Holy Trinity) Tower. It is protected by the World Heritage Convention of Unesco.
Next stop is Chora, the capital of Amorgos. Stroll through the alleys of the old venetian village, visit windmills, Loza and the Castle. We have lunch in a tavern here. Arrival at Vigla Hotel around 18:00.

Antonis did a wonderful job of telling us the stories of each place we visited on this full day tour of Amorgos. He began the day as our guide and ended as our friend. His passion for the place he lives was evident throughout the day and made this a very special day for us.

Dimitris is an incredible tour guide. He was so friendly and shared his love of Amorgos with us. We saw major sites, learned about the island’s history, and had some relaxing time by the beach. 10/10 way to see Amorgos. Would definitely do it again.

We had such a wonderful time on this excursion I wish I could give it a 10 out of 5 stars! Dimitris really went out of his way to help everyone and to share his knowledge and passion about this island! The island is spectacular and Dimitris took us to all the best spots! The climb to the Monastery of Hozoviotissa had to be the high light of the day!! He showed us around, explained how the monastery was built, and all about the monks and traditions. We even got some of the special wine and candy! (Sorry, I can not remember the name!) We also visited the Chora Village and learned more about the island, while shopping and finding a tavern for a drink. Dimitris made sure to get us back to the boat on time, and just made the day so special! The van was super clean, and Dimitris had plenty of cold water! THIS TRIP IS A MUST!!! I can not say enough about this experience!!

We came around the whole island and got both visited the monastery, got a swim trip and delicious lunch at Mouros Beach, walk in Chora mm. I can definitely recommend this trip! Remember the hat! It is really a warm walk up to the monastery.

We had an incredible day with Dimitris! He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the island and had planned a lovely day that allowed us to see all the main attractions that beautiful Amorgos has to offer. This was the highlight of our trip to Amorgos! He was even able to recommend running routes for me to enjoy during our stay and suggested some great restaurants and bakeries for us to try. We really enjoyed getting to pick his brain about all the historical questions we had about the island.

Our guide was so knowledgeable and helpful. It was like being shown around the island by a friend. He was flexible about our curiosity for archaeology, history and Greek culture. His English is excellent and all aspects were explained so well. Stopping for lunch was a real treat and he knew the family so well. Gem of a tour. Highly recommended.

We had an excellent tour of the island of Amorgos. We were given a wealth of fascinating information, historical, geological and cultural. Dimitris is an outstanding guide — knowledgeable, passionate, and engaging. His insights made the experience truly unforgettable. To top it all off, we were even offered fresh fruit on the beach!

We had a fantastic day out with Dimitris at Dream Blue - we saw so much of Amorgos but it never felt rushed. He tailored the day to suit our interests and took us to some great spots we wouldn’t have easily found for ourselves as well as the highlights (rock diving at Agios Anna was a highlight for the teenagers!) You could hire a car and do the same but you’d miss out on so much; you learn so much more about the island with a guide and we really enjoyed the company of Dimitris for the day. To cap it all off he took lots of pictures and sent us an album after the tour - he’s also a great photographer! Highly recommend booking this trip with Dimitris.

The Full Day Road Trip in Amorgos was amazing! Our guide, Dimitris, picked us up near our hotel in Katapola in a very comfortable, clean, air conditioned passenger van. Our tour was in English and Dimitris was personable and very easy to understand. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history, architecture, agriculture, flora, and culture of the Cyclades and the island of Amorgos and was able to answer all of our questions. We toured the island visiting almost all of the important sites. Dimitris was very cognizant of our abilities, and he tailored the visits to our comfort level. We stopped several times for refreshment, and water was provided. At the end of the full day tour, he returned us to our hotel area. If you want to experience an incredible amount of Amorgos’ beauty in a day, definitely take the Full Day Road Trip in Amorgos with Dream Blue Tours. I highly recommend it!
