The tour was confusing at first because a different tour guide met us instead of the one we were texting back and forth. However, Ipek was excellent.,We also misunderstood that the transportation was on city trams and not personal vehicles so this should be stated more clearly in the tour description. Ipek was full of information about each site, was very friendly and even loaned me a head scarf. She gave us some short rest breaks and even bought us some waters. We toured the Dolhambache Palace including the harem where she told us all about the former residents and history of Turkey. Then we went on a cruise on the Bosphourus and she pointed out what most of the buildings were on the shoreline.,We went into a Mosque with even bluer tile than the Blue Mosque! Then we went through the Spice Bazaar which was so crowded due to some large tours going through. Our access onto numerous trams was very smooth. I would highly recommend Ipek to you and hope we encounter her again someday. You may be quite tired at the end of the tour, but we are older!

Apo was a perfect guide. You shouldn’t miss his tour if you are in Istanbul. The places we’ve been to explained well and with lots of interesting stories.

l think he is a philosopher who still alive and you can reach him out. Apo is not only a professional experienced tour guide but also knowledgeable and intellectual one. There is no any limit to ask him about city, history and Turkish cuisine. l had the best gourmet tour with him and all l've tested and felt still on my tongue. Finally, we became a good friend and hanging out in every chances. Highly recommend pure spirit, enthusiastic person. Do not miss your chance to meet with him.

Within the first 10 minutes, we felt like we were touring Istanbul with a Friend. I'm always nervous paying a "stranger" to take us on a tour. Apo makes you feel at ease immediately . . .and confirms you made the right decision. Any guide can learn information (and his is knowledge is skilled), but Apo's ability to put you at ease is epic. And in a city that is "mysterious" to most outsiders, our comfort level was crucial . . .and Apo stepped up! He knows everyone, and everyone knows him; in a city the size of Istanbul, that is always a good sign. One of his strongpoint, too, is recommending places for you to go AFTER your tour. Restaurants, hamams, trinket shops. Take a pencil so you can write down all his recommendations for your time AWAY from him, later. If I am wrong, come back to TripAdvisor and scold me, but I am sure I will not hear that from anyone.
