What To Expect
Pululahua Volcano & Geobotanical Reserve
Our Mindo Cloud Forest Day Tour begins at 8:00 AM in Quito as we journey northwest through the Pichincha Province, experiencing a variety of climatic zones along the way. Our first stop will be at the Pululahua Volcano, where we will enjoy a panoramic view of the majestic crater. Here, we can observe a diverse range of native plants, including bromeliads, orchids, and several medicinal species.
San Tadeo Birding
Would you like to feed hummingbirds from your hands? This is the perfect place for that! You'll also encounter toucans and tanagers at the feeders. Agoutis, squirrels, orchids, and bromeliads are all part of this amazing experience. Be sure to bring binoculars and a camera with a good zoom.

5.00I had a great time a in the Mindo cloud forest. I was able to feed hummingbirds by hand and I even saw a toucan. I then went chocolate tasting and got a lunch in Mindo that was amazing

5.00This experience was marvelous from beginning to end! Pato was born and raised in Quito and is a wealth of knowledge. He was also SUPER accommodating to our group. We had a group member who was really interested in fungus, one who was not fond of cable cars, another who broke their ankle early this year, and some and some members who were really interested in birding. Pato worked our day around these things. Makes sure to let him know what you’re interested in! We stopped at a mushroom museum, butterfly experience, two spots for birding, a lovely lunch spot that was great for birding, and did a chocolate tasting! He answered all our questions about the region and more! One of our group members really wanted to see a tucán and he di everything in his power to try to make it happen. There is no doubt you’ll have a great time in this trip!

5.00What a phenomenal day we had in Mindo Cloud Forest with Ecuador a Color. Our tour guide Patricio (Pato) was incredibly knowledgeable and very friendly. He truly made our experience unforgettable. We had a friend who is recovering from an injury and Pato adjusted the tour to accommodate all of us and ensure we had a great experience. Every stop he took us too was phenomenal and he even went out of his way to let us visit a Fungi museum. This was an experience I will never forget. I highly recommend booking any tour with Ecuador a Color and if you are fortunate enough to have Pato as your guide, you will come away from the experience feeling like you have made a lifelong friend.

5.00Galindo was a wonderful guide. He was knowledgeable about the ecosystem of Cloud Forest and Ecuador in general. He was very personable and kept us entertained for the longer drives. He also took us to a wonderful restaurant for lunch.

5.00I had the most amazing time with Patricio (Pato) as my guide for the Mindo Cloud Forest. To say we saw a lot is an understatement. Even Pato said we were seeing birds he hadn't seen for a while. Brilliant day of fauna, flora, and wildlife. History and natural beauty in one day.

5.00This was an incredible experience. Each activity was amazing. My favorite part was feeding the humming birds, but I also loved the butterfly garden and the hike. It is completely worth going.
