Don’t take this experience. Communication was horrible. I am a solo traveler who was looking to explore Montevideo for a day. Short on time, I decided to pay for the tour that included the hop on/off and lunch. After getting picked up in a sketchy car, I got on the ferry and when arrived, the hop on/off bus was no where to be found from that company. I called and emailed the tour contractor, Lorena which I received no response until the end of the day. To which Lorena was defensive and told me that he gave me the paperwork. I was upset of the lack of communication being a tourist in a new city and not knowing where to go. The tour was meant to be simple and relaxing not having to worry about navigating. I asked for a refund for the hop on/off bus tour since I had to walk around the city on my own. It was also supposed to come with a free lunch which was miles into the city. One I had no time to go to or wanted to pay for. To which Lorena was then again defensive and said he gave me the reservations. He then pointed out that I had his what’s app and email address. The email address provided was the tour company to which I still have yet to get a response in. Not everyone uses Whats app so it is a bit unfair the tour contact did not go to our messages directly via Viator. I will most likely not get a refund having no response back after the tour contact initial defensive response. I will warn everyone to not take this tour. I hate to be that person but it’s frustrating that I did not receive the service I paid for despite all the attempts to communicate.
