We had a great experience with La Rochelle Wine Tours from the moment we reached out to schedule with them. Johan was extremely prompt and thorough to respond to our inquiry and other questions, and he was able to reschedule our tour a few days beforehand when our travel plans changed. On the day of the tour, we were picked up promptly by Aylmer and had a wonderful time! He was personable, hilarious, and clearly knew his wine. I would recommend this company and tour to anyone looking for an organized and fun time in the winelands.

Maybe the best day of our first ever trip to South Africa. We were met by our guide, Aylmar, to discover that we were the only ones booked for the day and so had him, and his minibus, to ourselves. I won't reveal where we went but Alymar's choices were top notch and the pairing experiences very relaxed, enjoyable and enlightening! What we found particularly interesting was finding out a lot more about what makes this part of the country tick and some revealing insights on the history of SA and the social fabric of the nation. Anyhow back on the wine - if you are on the mystery tour make sure you get the nougat / Cape Classique pairings - sublime wines in an incredible setting! We will return - the day will live long in the memory.

This trip was one of the highlights of our SA trip! Our guide Aylmer was incredibly knowledgeable and so easy to get on with we had a fantastic day. We felt like the day was catered to our tastes and likes but still allowed us to broaden our range of wines by trying new things! Would highly recommend booking the mystery tour and thank you again to Aylmer for such a great day :)

WOW...what a day! My wife and I have taken numerous wine tours and excursions over the years, but have gotten turned-off by the crowds and oftentimes relative inexperience and lack of knowledge from the wine "experts" that have hosted them. Not even close to the experience we had with Danelle- we learned a lot about the different types of wines, how best to enjoy them, the regions and wineries we visited as well as South African wines in general. Danelle's knowledge and passion was really off the charts, and her sense of humor and enthusiasm only added to the wonderful experience. Highly recommend going with La Rochelle Tours...you will not be disappointed!

We had a full day tour with Dee and it was fantastic. She very calmly dealt with the fact that we overslept :) and shuffled things around so we could eat breakfast before heading off. We visited three wineries - Le Lude, Atlas Swift and a third one I can’t recall and had a fantastic lunch. Dee was really knowledgeable, great energy and a fantastic conversationalist. The day passed far too quickly! The only suggestion we have is to follow-up with a summary of which places we visited on the tour as an email memento.

We toured with Danelle, from La Rochelle Tours back in November. What an amazing experience we had. We were "told" not to say too much about the Mystery Tour, because hay, it IS a mystery tour after all, BUT, we can assure you that it's the best wine tour we ever had (and we have been on a lot). Get in touch with these guys. Danelle was funny and so informative. Johnny

Just a brilliant day on the mystery tour with Danelle, amazingly knowledgeable host who introduced us to to some great wines at fantastic vineyards. Would recommend to anyone coming to Stellenbosch and keen to enjoy and learn a bit more about the wines of the area.
Top Class, don't hesitate, just do it.

It looks a bit expensive, but every ZAR is worth it. We had a private MYSTERY tour with an excellent guide. She learned us a lot about the ZA wines, we tasted wonderful wines, the mystery did the rest.
