Discover a serene side of Crete with a full-day private tour to Elafonisi. Get picked up at your hotel or the location of your choosing in Chania and set out on a scenic tour. During the journey to Elafonisi Beach, we will make a stopover at the Cave of Agia Sofia for about 30 minutes to see the stalagmites and the small church in the cave, our second stopover will be at Chrysoskalitissa Monastery for about 30 minutes. Finaly, we will arrive at Elafonissi beach, we will spend about 3 hours on the beach, after that your private car will pick you up and leads you back to your hotel.

What To Expect

Agia Sofia Cave

We will pick you up from your hotel or villa and we will lead you directly to the Cave of Agia Sofia. We will make there a stopover for about 20-30 minutes, so you will have the time to visit the cave to see the small church and the stalagmites.

Our tour guide Dimitri was the best, not only did he tell us the history of Crete but he also provided us water bottles and some homemade bread/cheese delicacy. It was well appreciated. Thank you

The beach was amazing. Crowded during summer months, but still crystal clear waters with massive expanses of knee deep water or swimming deep water. Very little shade on the beach unless you rent or buy an umbrella, but we had plenty of breeze so it felt fine during our visit. Our driver, Nikos, was engaging during the whole drive and provided a lot of detailed history about the area. Nikos took us to a local restaurant and helped us order traditional, locally sourced dishes. It was fabulous. The monastery was tiny but worth the visit. We were thrilled with the whole experience.

Dimitris, our tour guide, was so humble, knowledgeable and kind! We wanted to start the trip at 8am and go straight to Elafonissi beach and skip the other two stops, so that we had more time at the beach. Dimitris made that happen and we had the perfect time at Elafonissi. He even gave us water bottles and some delicious Greek snacks for our stay at the beach. So, we are very grateful for Dimitris! Finally, we would recommend anyone who is going to Elafonissi to leave at 8am that way you secure an umbrella at the beach- 20 euros per person and start enjoying the beach before the crows arrive. Even when the crowds arrive, you will still enjoy it because it is so big.

Great day out with Nikos! He tailored the day to what we wanted- a drive through the beautiful mountains of Crete to the pink sand beach, where we spent a couple of hours enjoying the sun. We then went to a lovely lunch at his favorite restaurant which was fabulous. Back to the cruise terminal in plenty of time, even with a stop for olive oil! Nikos was knowledgeable about Crete and very friendly to talk with. Highly recommend this tour company!

Our tour guide Nikos was excellent. Very personable and easy going. He had a lot of information to share and was an excellent driver. Lots of photo opportunities and the beach is gorgeous. Would definitely recommend this tour!

I booked Nikos Tours initially for the airport transfer of my family of 5 to our Hotel. As our flight was arriving at 11pm we were quite nervous to be advised that our flight was delayed by over an hour, but when we finally arrived the driver (Manos) was thankfully waiting. He was courteous and guided us to the vehicle and dropped us to the hotel with no issues. We then booked an excursion and transfer back to the Airport with Nikos Tours, the driver (Dimitri) arrived on time and was polite, informative and accommodating and the whole experience was excellent. I felt both were safe drivers and the vehicles clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend!
