Host were very welcoming and friendly. Food was super great. Shout out to the scuba diving team for making it happen. I thought I will tap out halfway, but the guides were so nice, calm and professionals. Kudos !

What an AMAZING day! We were staying in Denarau, easy hotel pick up on an air conditioned bus, 5 -10 min ride to the port, off to get wristbands and board a large boat for a 30 min ride. Took a smaller boat to the island greeted by the team with a nice Fijian song, found a spot by the swimming beach to park for the day. Reasonably priced massage, plenty of space and good lunch and drinks.... Wish there was merch to purchase (trucker hat, tees or tanks etc)! Got an amazing massage from Lucy... Must do 🤙

Smooth check-in, a pleasant boat ride, tasty food, a lively cultural show, and a relaxing massage made the day enjoyable. However, the island isn’t ideal for relaxation—constant microphone announcements for different tour groups and activities broke the atmosphere, and the 11:30am lunch felt far too early for a full-day trip ending at 6pm. Tips to improve: a later lunch service, fewer interruptions, and perhaps fewer tour groups would make the island experience truly outstanding. Also, reef shoes are a must as there is an abundance of coral making it difficult to swim.

I would like to share my sincere appreciation for the outstanding service provided by South Sea Cruises and the entire team. On Friday, 30 January 2026, during our South Sea Island Full Day Trip, I unfortunately lost my mobile phone with my credit card attached inside the phone case. To my absolute relief and gratitude, the next morning (Saturday, 31 January 2026 at 9:00am), I was able to collect both my phone and credit card from the Reservation Counter at Port Denarau. I was informed that they had been honestly handed in by the Tours Manager bus driver. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to: 1. The Tours Manager Bus Driver (I regret not getting his name), 2. Ms. Katie and Ms.Titilia at the Front Desk, 3. Captain Henry of the Yasawa Flyer II Vessel, 4. And all staff involved behind the scenes in coordinating the recovery. Their honesty, professionalism, efficiency, and teamwork were truly remarkable and reflect the highest standards of customer service. This experience reinforced my trust and admiration for South Sea Cruises. Thank you for going above and beyond to help a guest in need. I will certainly recommend South Sea Cruises to friends and family, and I look forward to travelling with you again. Vinaka vakalevu!

Great day trip out with my husband, 2year old and 3month old and extended family. South sea island is a very laid back vibe. The submarine was perfect for my toddler and 3month old as they were too young to snorkel. We did give the snorkelling out on the boat a miss but got amazing snorkelling off the shore where we saw a 1.2m reef shark! Crystal clear waters, amazing variety of fish, and breath taking coral. The lunch was hearty and home cooked feel. Hot a fresh. Very delicious. Plenty of seating around the island. The transfers from the big boat the the little boat was a little tricky with toddler and a baby but the staff were so helpful and made sure we were safe. Highly recommend as south sea island and malamala island are so close to Denarau so perfect for a day trip out to the beautiful islands of Fiji!

The best part was the submerged boat experience. It was a good experience but not for people who are not into too many watersports / activities for too long... nothing much to do on dry grounds. Lunch was pretty ordinary. We came back early. Half a day trip would have been better.

So much fun! We had the best time on this beautiful island. They have snorkelling gear, paddle boards and kayaking you can use while there as well. The buffet lunch was included and so delicious, and the performance they did while we were eating lunch was so beautiful. Will definitely be back again!!

From the beginning staffs were so mean especially at port denarua. All Fijians are so mean towards Indians now so my recommendation is that some Fijians shouldn’t be working in this field if they want to be rude and yell at the customers. Food was horrible as well because they cooked fish and okra curry which was just like boil up. I will never book trips to any of the islands again because of these rude Fijians.
