For lots of fun under the sun, you can't beat a day at South Sea Island. Approx 30 minute ferry ride from Port Denarau.
It may be small in size, but there is plenty to keep you entertained. The hardest part is choosing what to do first! There is a salt water swimming pool and FREE use of non-motorized water sports equipment, including kayaking and sailing. Discover the underwater world with hours of snorkelling or jump on board the semi-submersible coral viewer.
A tasty BBQ buffet lunch, beer, wine and soft drinks are included while ashore.
Although the island is uninhabited, you can still get a taste of Fijian culture with a traditional Meke performance and craft market Monday to Saturday.

Diving (additional cost). Diving in this area you can encounter drop offs and wall dives with lots of hard corals, crystal clear water & large schools of pelagic fish.

If you do not require pick up, please find your own way to the meeting point - Passenger Terminal, Denarau Marina
The boat for Nadi and Denarau area customers departs Port Denarau at 9.00am and returns to Denarau at 6.00pm.
The boat for Coral Coast area customers departs Port Denarau at 10.00am and returns to Denarau at 5.00pm
In the event of adverse weather and sea conditions, we retain the right to cancel all water-based activities, including snorkeling, paddleboarding, kayaking, and the Subsea Adventure in our semi-submersible.
Please bring swimsuit, towel, protective clothing from the sun including a hat and sunblock, light jacket or sweater during the cooler months, money or credit card for optional purchases, your camera and sense of fun!

South Sea Cruises
For lots of fun under the sun, you can't beat a day at South Sea Island. A day trip to South Sea Island is an easy 30 minute ferry ride from Denarau Marina with South Sea Cruises. It may be small in size, but there is plenty to keep you entertained. The hardest part is choosing what to do first! There is a salt water swimming pool and FREE use of non-motorized water sports equipment, including kayaking and sailing. Discover the underwater world with hours of snorkelling or if you want to stay dry, jump on board the semi-submersible coral viewer. Make sure you keep an eye out for Nemo! A tasty BBQ buffet lunch and beer, wine and soft drinks are included while ashore. Although the island is uninhabited, you can still get a taste of Fijian culture with a traditional Meke performance and craft market Monday to Saturday. Introductory diving (additional cost) is a particular focus on this island with pretty reef formations and plentiful fish making it a first time diver's dream. Start in the pool and then explore the stunning coral gardens and the fish life surrounding the island on a 'Discover Scuba' intro dive. There is also plenty to keep certified divers amused, with several beach dives and a purposefully sunk shipwreck. Diving in this area you can encounter drop offs and wall dives with lots of hard corals, crystal clear water & large schools of pelagic fish.

3.00It wasn’t the best weather day. The bus driver picked us up at 8:15 am. He never said, “Hello/Bula” or one comment to us. When we got to the port the driver told us to come directly back to the bus, do not shop, do not go to a restaurant. The boat left 45 minutes late. We were never provided an explanation as to why. This excursion also includes a tender to the South Sea Island. We did not know that. The water was choppy and it was difficult getting on and off the tender. When we arrived on the island a man was shouting to hurry-up as lunch was ready. There was a group of people who cut in every line and were basically annoying the entire time. They had a private tour guide with them. Please know smoking is allowed on the island. The bar tenders were great and basically saved the afternoon with free beer and wine. There is no one in charge of this tour. One gets handed off the bus to the port and hoards of people. You need to figure out what line to get in. Then you need to find where to line up for the boat. There was very little communication. Then when we got back to the bus; the bus driver picked up 2 people not on the tour and then pulled the bus to the side of the road. After 5 minutes I shouted to the front of the bus - what are we waiting for? The bus driver said something inaudible. I could have gone speed shopping in all the chaos. I wouldn’t do this excursion again.

3.00Go if you want a clear water beach. Make sure to bring water shoes as there is a lot of shells in the sand. The weather was windy and could not use anything but the snorkeling gear. Really wanted to use the paddle boards. Got bored and left early. Food was good. The pool was small.
