It may be small in size, but there is plenty to keep you entertained. The hardest part is choosing what to do first! There is a salt water swimming pool and FREE use of non-motorized water sports equipment, including kayaking and sailing. In the event of adverse weather and sea conditions, we retain the right to cancel all water-based activities, including snorkeling, paddleboarding, kayaking, and the Subsea Adventure in our semi-submersible.

Please bring swimsuit, towel, protective clothing from the sun including a hat and sunblock, light jacket or sweater during the cooler months, money or credit card for optional purchases, your camera and sense of fun!

Discover the underwater world with hours of snorkelling or if you want to stay dry, jump on board the semi-submersible coral viewer. Make sure you keep an eye out for Nemo! A tasty BBQ buffet lunch and beer, wine and soft drinks are included while ashore. Although the island is uninhabited, you can still get a taste of Fijian culture with a traditional Meke performance and craft market Monday to Saturday. Introductory diving (additional cost) is a particular focus on this island with pretty reef formations and plentiful fish making it a first time diver's dream. Start in the pool and then explore the stunning coral gardens and the fish life surrounding the island on a 'Discover Scuba' intro dive. There is also plenty to keep certified divers amused, with several beach dives and a purposefully sunk shipwreck. Diving in this area you can encounter drop offs and wall dives with lots of hard corals, crystal clear water & large schools of pelagic fish.

A day on South Sea Island was fantastic! We are a family of 5 and had the best time. It was a very well organised day right from the Denarau Marina to the island and back. The cruise was very well organised and the staff were incredible - very professional, friendly, warm and welcoming. The lunch served was fresh and delicious and the entertainment and photo opportunity was fantastic. The island is great value for money and there is something for all ages. The salt water swimming pool on the island was perfect and so healing to the body. We loved the hammocks, bean bags and deck lounges to relax, have a little nap or soak up the sun. The water around the island was clear and warm. Our son (11 yrs) loved having fresh coconuts opened for him along with a beautiful island massage. This is a fantastic day out with lots to see and do or if you prefer do nothing and just relax. Its great value for money and we thoroughly enjoyed our time on South Sea Island and would love to go again.
Double standard treatment for locals

We recently did the full-day South Sea Island tour and paid $608 FJD for our family. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing and left us feeling like second-class customers. As locals, the difference in treatment compared to international tourists was noticeable from start to finish. Staff were attentive and engaging with tourists, while we were largely overlooked. Equal paying customers should receive equal service. this wasn’t the case. What makes this even more frustrating is that, as locals, we don’t earn anywhere near what most tourists do. For us, $608 FJD is a significant amount of money, and we made the effort to spend it expecting a quality experience. To then be treated as less valued customers in our own country is honestly quite disheartening. The BBQ lunch was also well below expectations. It lacked flavor and quality, which doesn’t align with the premium pricing being charged. I’m sharing this publicly because I’d like South Sea Island to address this properly. Experiences like this reflect poorly on the brand, especially when locals, who support tourism all year around feel undervalued. I would appreciate a response from management regarding this experience and what will be done to ensure fair and consistent service for all guests

Very crowded and loaded with 2 batches of full and half day trippers. Food was ok. And once you get on the island the announcements are incessant. Crew is distant. Marine biologists are authentic and helpful. Lunch was a 45minute window that happened right after you get to island. At least they had great WiFi both on the boat and the island.

We only had two full days in Fiji, so just wanted a convenient island experience. Pre-communication with its CS team was great, very responsive and helpful, addressing our need of special transfer arrangement to be picked up near the airport and then drop off in our hotel in coral coast. However, the arrangement didnt work out - the pick up driver didnt show up at the bus stop where we were instructed to wait at, and the return driver didnt wait for us and left. Luckily, with further arrangement with the CS team and the driver team, we did manage to get to the pier on time and got transfered to our hotel after the tour. As for the experience on the island, food is nice, cultural performance is a bit commercial as expected, the guided snorkeling tour is a bit too short (only 15 mins), and semi submarine best for kids. Plenty of places to sunbath on the beach. There is a small swimming pool in the middle of the island if you dont want to get into the ocean. Overall experience is well structured.

Great trip. Excellent value. Highly recommend. There was a group of 41 school teens there also but the staff coped so well and it didn’t impact our trip much. The island absorbs everyone on it and we had a relaxing fun time.

We are a family of four, kids aged 11 and 7 and we all had a very enjoyable experience. All the communications were thorough and we never had to wonder where to go or what to do and there was plenty to do. The free unlimited drinks, soda, wine and beer was a bonus and there was plenty of lunch. My son (11) and I did the 5 min scuba diving session (It did go for a bit longer), note there is an added cost for the session and only for 8yo and over. I will rave about the instructors, I had to put a lot of faith in them with both mine and my sons safety and they were so kind, calm, professional and attentive and they emailed us the many underwater photos they took. My daughter (7) especially loved the snorkelling, there were plenty of fish to see. I would recommend doing the full day experience.

This is a great day trip to do with a family, we all enjoyed the glass bottom boat, delicious lunch, traditional music and dance and the options to snorkel straight off the beach or jump on the boat to snorkel further out on the reef.
