We made an unforgettable visit to the island of Boa Vista — me, my wife and our son. It was a wonderful day, full of discoveries and amazing landscapes. We started by the olaria of Rabil, where we could see from close the local craftsmanship and the talent of the artisans. Then we went to Viana Desert, an impressive landscape, where we had the opportunity to sandboard. The next stop was in Povoação Velha, a place full of history, where the “mother of the morning” was born and where the Portuguese first landed on the island. We continued to the beach of Santa Monica, absolutely fantastic, where we had time for a good bath and to appreciate the vastness of that paradisiacal coast. Later we visited the Turtle Bay and, yes, we actually saw turtles — a special moment. Lunch was in a very friendly restaurant, with good food. To finish the day, we head to the beach of Atalanta to see the famous Spanish shipwrecked. Our guide, Jorge, was simply 5 stars: very knowledgeable, attentive and always well disposed. The photographer also demonstrated great professionalism and managed to take excellent photos throughout the journey. We highly recommend this tour — worth every minute!

A well-planned visit to get an idea of the natural beauty of the island and the way of life of the natives. We visited the site of Povoação Velha where Morna was born, then the beautiful beach of Santa Monica we passed by Rabil to visit the small School of Olaria. We walked through the dunes with emotion and the caves of Love. We had lunch at Sal Rei and visited the local market. I got the idea that I didn't have much more to see. Too poor for the Capital. In short, it was worth it for the sympathy and professionalism of Guia Zé Ramos and the promoter of the visit Aliane. With the photographer Roni, I was disappointed because only after 5 days he made the link with the photos available. It makes no sense.

Pick-up should take place at the gate of the hotel. On time we stood at the agreed point and waited. Unfortunately, we were only picked up later, as the picking us up had been looking at the reception. The German language skills of the guide were more than below average. The promised air conditioning of the vehicle was carried out with the windows open. Questions have been sparingly addressed. The grilled food was good, but we had to pay for the drinks ourselves. This was booked differently. The booked trip to a shell cemetery, as well as the Turtle Museum were not visited at all. On the return trip, the guide preferred to sleep instead of telling us about the island.
