This tour is long, as others have mentioned - 15 hours in our case but definitely worth it. It was amazing to see these beautiful, extensive and detailed ruins with colourful macaws all around us. The guide inside the park was highly knowledgeable and very passionate about Copan and Mayan history in general. We had Gaby as our driver and she was very pleasant, friendly and provided us with excellent information as well as recommendations.

Such a great day! Our guide Josue was the best. Arrived on time with a great attitude! Patient, informative, and friendly. Such a long day for him — 15 hour day! Great tour of the ruins that was led by a separate guide that works at the Copan Ruins. We did the tunnel tour add-on ($15 a person). The Copan ruins guide asked for an additional tip for the tunnel tour on top of the of the initial tip we gave him. After the ruins Josue took us to this restaurant called Llama Del Bosque in the town. Great food and got to walk around the town a bit to shop for souvenirs. On the drive back, Josue gave us some great dinner recommendations. He dropped us off at Tipicos Margoth per our request at the end of the tour! Overall would definitely recommend this tour with Josue. Timely, organized and efficient!

I went to visit the Mayan city of Copán and it has been amazing, a brutal adventure plan! Gaby was the one who took me there and is a very nice guide, who likes what she does and very professional. He deserves a raise. And when you enter Copán, I recommend that your guide be Giovanni, this gentleman is a real authority on Mayan history, as well as very nice and close. It will not disappoint you!!

This was a great day trip - long drives but totally worth it for the Copan ruins. Alejandro looked after us very well and got us through the border crossings bump free. He had lots of information about El Salvador to share and took us to a lovely restaurant for lunch. Please be aware that if you are a UK citizen you need a visa for Honduras! I would definitely recommend this trip

This tour is a very long day, starts very early and ends very late. The Guide Joshua is good and knowledgeable of the border procedures so the passage through the borders was quite facilitated. The tour of the ruins of Copan was with the guide Marvin who is an excellent storyteller, but personally I did not like much of his attitude to my view very incorrect: I chose to do the tour of the tunnels (which in reality is not worth it) and for this tour it is necessary to pay more to the guide. When I paid him gives me much less exchange than I would have to give claiming that it was the tray, I complained but still did not give me the whole exchange.

Baby was our guide and it was an amazing day. It was nice to get out of city and go into the countryside in 3 countries (El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras) the site and guide were stunning and we were lucky not very crowded which allowed great pictures, do the add on of the caves. The lunch afterwards was so good at a local Honduran Restaurant. The transfers at the borders was worth trip on its own. Ask for Gaby for your guide 5 Stars!

Gaby was super friendly along the drive and helped us smoothly cross all the borders and stop for breakfast/lunch. The Copán tour was great as well, super interesting site with a great explanation of the statues and historical significance of the site. The tunnel tour is worth it as well!

Visiting the Copan Ruins was truly one of the highlights of my travels. These are by far the most well-preserved ruins I have ever seen, offering an incredible glimpse into the richness of the Mayan civilization. Although the journey to get there is quite long, it is absolutely worth it for the experience and history you encounter on site. A special mention goes to our guide, Romero. His explanations were clear, engaging, and made us appreciate the significance of every detail even more. If you’re considering the trip, don’t hesitate—it’s an unforgettable experience.

It was one of the best trips I've ever had, Alejandro Josué (our driver) was the best tour guide. He was very nice, smiley, energetic, young & ambitious, honest & speak English very well. He made the journey very easy (especially crossing the borders) & enjoyable. El Salvador Positive Tours are lucky to have him with their crew. I'd definitely go again with him & recommend others to travel with him.
