Giza Plateau
The Giza pyramid complex, also called the Giza Necropolis, is the site on the Giza Plateau in Greater Cairo, Egypt that includes the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure, along with their associated pyramid complexes and the Great Sphinx of Giza. All were built during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom of Ancient Egypt. The site is at the edges of the Western Desert, approximately 9 km (5 mi) west of the Nile River in the city of Giza, and about 13 km (8 mi) southwest of the city centre of Cairo. The Great Pyramid and the Pyramid of Khafre are the largest pyramids built in ancient Egypt, and they have historically been common as emblems of ancient Egypt in the Western imagination.They were popularised in Hellenistic times, when the Great Pyramid was listed by Antipater of Sidon as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It is by far the oldest of the ancient Wonders and the only one still in existence.

5.00We took a half day tour to Pyramids and Sphinx in the March of 2026 Our tour guide was Moaaz! And it was the best one we ever had. He brought us through some essential points of Epygt history. He joked a lot, talked with us about some interesting topics like who built pyramids and why. We also got some incredible photos, that’s our personal recommendation after the guide he took us through some of the best local souvenir shops like papyrus, oils, tea, etc Thank you Moaaz for making our short stay in Cairo unforgettable.

5.00We had the most incredible experience visiting the Sakkara and Giza pyramids, and it was all thanks to our amazing guide, Moaaz, and our wonderful driver, Moamen. Moaaz was absolutely brilliant — not only incredibly knowledgeable, but also hilarious and full of energy. He made the entire tour so engaging and brought the history to life in such a fun and memorable way. You could tell how passionate he is about what he does, and it really made a difference to our experience. Moamen was equally fantastic, making us feel completely safe and comfortable throughout the day. His calm and friendly nature added to how relaxed and enjoyable the whole trip was. Together, they made the perfect team. We learned so much, laughed a lot, and truly had an unforgettable day exploring such iconic places. If you’re planning a trip to the pyramids, we couldn’t recommend them more highly! A definite 5-star experience!

5.00This full-day tour covering the Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, Saqqara, and Memphis was truly one of the highlights of my time in Egypt. We started at the breathtaking Giza Plateau, where seeing the Great Pyramids up close was simply unforgettable. The panoramic views were incredible, and learning about the history and construction of these ancient wonders added so much depth to the experience. Standing in front of the Great Sphinx was another powerful moment — even more impressive in person. Saqqara was equally fascinating, especially the Step Pyramid of Djoser. The site offers a different atmosphere compared to Giza, with fewer crowds and a deeper sense of ancient history. Exploring Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt, and seeing the colossal statue of Ramses II was a perfect way to complete the journey through Egypt’s early dynasties. 5.00Moaaz was caring and attentive and looked after us brilliantly for the whole day. He was informative throughout and did not force us into anything we did not want to do or were not interested in. He talked about history with good knowledge. We felt we were able to sight see without pressure . A lovely day seeing Cairos beautiful sights.
